‘Young Jedi Adventures’: Final Episodes of Season 1 Now on Disney Plus

All of you “Bad Batchers” will have to wait a week because it’s Nubs Nation’s turn in the spotlight! The final six episodes of Young Jedi Adventures season 1 are now on Disney Plus. Kai, Lys, Nubs, and Nash’s latest adventures will take them to the far reaches of Batuu, a climactic confrontation with Taborr, and more.

As was made evident by promotional material, we know the group is present at the Starlight Beacon dedication ceremony. This means that the show has now caught up with the start of Phase 1 of the High Republic publishing initiative. Of course that begs the question of what that means for the series’ future, presuming season 2 is greenlit. We’ve already seen the trio of younglings Charles Soule introduced in Jedi Brave in Every Way forced to step up in the fight against the Nihil. Is the Young Jedi Adventures trio headed toward a similar fate? Heck, this trio already had a brush with the Nihil earlier in the season.

Below you can find a brief breakdown of episodes 20-25 of Young Jedi Adventures season 1, now available on Disney Plus:

20. Aftershock / Feather Frenzy

  • Jedi help a prince. Creatures take over Nash’s garage.

21. Best Friends / Happy Trails, Nubs

  • Kai and Nubs team up. Nubs is captured by the Ganguls.

22. The Tale of the Short Spire / The Team Up

  • Jedi help on Batuu. Taborr and the Jedi work together.

23. The Caves of Batuu / Finders Keepers

  • Kai explores a mystic cave. The Jedi help a scrapper.

24. The Starship Show / Nash’s Super Busy Day

  • Draiven steals a ship. Kai offers to help a busy Nash.

25. The Prince and the Pirate

  • The Jedi must stop Taborr’s plans on Starlight Beacon.

I had the chance to watch this entire batch of episodes, and it is safely the best set yet. The pair of episodes set on Batuu are special, packing in classic Star Wars tropes with its pulpy action and unique presentation of the Force. Meanwhile, the season’s throughline, the relationship between Kai and Taborr, comes full circle in a way that I did not expect. This is a preschool show and it finds a way to surprise, which is a theme in these episodes. Stay tuned for my full thoughts on this and the first season as a whole soon.

You can find all of Young Jedi Adventures season 1 now on Disney Plus, with the final episodes rolling out on Disney Junior in the coming weeks.
