Updated With New Behind the Scenes Clip! Hayden Christensen and Rosario Dawson Speak About Their ‘Ahsoka’ Reunion
With Star Wars fans still reeling from Ahsoka‘s latest episode Shadow Warrior, Hayden Christensen and Rosario Dawson took some time to talk about the episode.
In an interview with Entertainment Online (EO), the pair sat down to discuss their elation at getting to work together on the episode.
Rosario had a little bit to say about how seeing her old master again affected Ahsoka, who was shocked to her core to see Anakin’s face again, years after her old master’s death in Return of the Jedi (though admittedly it would be nice if EO could have released a bit more of her full answer than the following snippet).
It’s really, really powerful for Ahsoka, to see her guard come down. We know her as a stoic, super-powerful, on top of it, warrior, and all of a sudden, she’s Padawan again.

Hayden Christensen was excited to reprise the role of Anakin Skywalker, just as he was when he returned for Obi-Wan Kenobi. It was a wonderful opportunity for him to reclaim the role decades after the prequel trilogy. It’s great to see how much enthusiasm he still has for the character and his eagerness to return to the Star Wars universe.
When I got the phone call to talk about being part of the Ahsoka project, I was thrilled. It kind of blows your mind every time. I just feel very grateful.
It was also a great opportunity for him to reunite with Rosario Dawson, with whom he last worked in the 2003 indie movie Shattered Glass. EO also mentioned that the two of them first met in acting class as teenagers, so this reunion also worked to bring their own relationship full circle. Rosario says as much in the interview:
To have that kind of history with him, it really was like seeing my old friend.
The final three episodes of Ahsoka will premiere on Disney Plus on Tuesday each week.
