Ahsoka Tano Coming to ‘Star Tours’ Next Spring, Hera Syndulla Arrived This Week at Galaxy’s Edge

It has recently been revealed that Ahsoka Tano will be joining the Star Tours – The Adventures Continue attraction in Disneyland, Disney World (Disney’s Hollywood Studios), and Disneyland Paris.

At this weekend’s Destination D23 presentation for the parks, Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Chairperson Josh D’Amaro announced that Ahsoka Tano would be making an appearance at three of the four parks with Star Tours attractions starting in spring 2024, with only Tokyo Disneyland lacking such an attraction. It can be expected that Rosario Dawson’s likeness will be used for the live-action segments added to the ride. Based on existing precedent, the least that we can expect is to see Ahsoka give a hologram message to R2-D2 and C-3PO. However, the timing of when Ahsoka may be added to the ride could hint at something a little more substantial than that.

It was confirmed earlier this year at Star Wars Celebration Anaheim that new adventures based on a variety of new planets are coming to Star Tours at a then-unspecified point in 2024. With a spring 2024 target window in mind for Ahsoka Tano’s Star Tours debut, this suggests that Ahsoka could also appear in new adventures tied to locations based on her live-action appearances in The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, and her own series. The new adventures, predominantly based on stories told after the Disney acquisition of Lucasfilm, will be added to the ride starting from 2024 onward, but nothing has been confirmed about the type of content being added to the attraction at this time.

Star Tours – The Adventures Continue is available to ride at Disneyland, Disney World (Disney’s Hollywood Studios), Tokyo Disneyland, and Disneyland Paris, with ten planets based on the nine movies seen in the Skywalker Saga film series currently available to ride through. Each ride also randomly selects a group of variables from a set list, including which characters that you will encounter meaning that it is rare that you will ever experience the same ride twice. The Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge experience is also available in both of the American locations.

In related news, Hera Syndulla has been announced to be coming to the Disneyland version of the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge park expansion for a limited-time appearance. She joins Ahsoka Tano in meeting and greeting fans, and could be soon joined by other characters that haven’t been announced yet.
