Wen has played deadly assassin Fennec Shand in the first two seasons of The Mandalorian, and later in its spin-off series The Book of Boba Fett, the first season of which started airing in late December 2021. She also voiced the character in the first season of The Bad Batch and is expected to return for the third and final season, after it was confirmed by the trailer previewed at Star Wars Celebration that the character will be back.

There is still no word on a possible second season of The Book of Boba Fett, but in a recent interview with Collider, the actress remained hopeful about it, adding that she would love to see her and Boba Fett’s dynamic as the new Lord of Tatooine, combined with “a lot of fun battle scenes”:

“I would like to see what they do with their– You know, he’s this Lord now of Tatooine, and he is managing to have some control, but he was trying to do it one way, and I’m not sure how effective it was. He was trying to have a greater honor system, and I would love to see that he turns back to a bit more like what Boba Fett was in also being able to maintain justice, or accomplish what he needs to accomplish on Tatooine. And then, ultimately, just to have a lot of fun battle scenes.”

Ming-Na Wen was born on November 20, 1963, and almost 60 years later, she continues to be an example of gracefulness and professionalism for Star Wars fans all around the world. She is the latest actress in the franchise to be joining Hollywood’s landmark after Carrie Fisher was given a posthumous Star on May The Fourth.
