“That’s no moon…”

Even scattered and destroyed, the ruins of the Death Star are a sinister place.

From the destruction of Alderaan to the shadow of the Forest Moon, alien creatures, phantom star ships, deadly artifacts, and vengeful spirits all stalk the halls of the infamous space station, as writer Cavan Scott (Tales from the Rancor Pit, Star Wars: The High Republic) and an all-star team of artists (Eric Powell, Soo Lee, Vincenzo Riccardi, Ingo Roemling, & Juan Samu) reveal the hidden evils that lurked within charred remains of the ultimate firepower in the universe.

Star Wars: Tales From the Death Star is available for pre-order now.

Next, the oft-forgotten piece of High Republic storytelling takes the center stage later this year. The High Republic: The Edge of Balance – Precedent is the next Star Wars manga to be released from VIZ on May 23 — it will serve as one of the final stories in Phase 2 of the High Republic publishing initiative.

From earlier editions of The Edge of Balance mangas, Wookiee Jedi Master Arkoff returns to help foil the plans of the Path of the Open Hand on Dalna. He is on full display in the final cover. Check it out alongside the synopsis, which teases something potentially crucial for Phase 3 of the High Republic initiative, below:

One hundred and fifty years before Starlight Beacon shone its light into the Outer Rim, the galaxy was filled with new threats and Nameless unknowns. Banchii is still unexplored when the young Wookiee Jedi Arkoff journeys to Dalna to aid his fellow Jedi in the fight against the secretive faction the Path of the Open Hand.

Along with his former Master Ravna and her droid ZZ, Arkoff joins the fight at the Battle of Dalna, and during the struggle a terrifying threat emerges. Arkoff’s longtime friend, Jedi Knight Azlin, falls victim to an unseen force whose effect on the Jedi is unlike anything previously encountered. Will Arkoff’s past come back to haunt him, or will it be the key to tilting the balance in their fight again the Nihil over a century later?

And last but not least, the final Women’s History Month variant covers from Peach Momoko have been revealed. During March, Marvel will have unique variant covers celebrating the women of Star Wars. The last three of 11 covers feature Sabé for Darth Vader #32, Barash for The High Republic: The Blade #4, and Domina Tagge for Doctor Aphra #30 (which releases in April).
