‘Star Wars: The Essential Legends Collection’ Wave 6 Reveals Book Covers
The sixth wave of Star Wars: The Essential Legends Collection is coming in May, and now we’ve got our first look at the books’ covers.
Though marketing for these new reprints hasn’t been too noticeable, this summer fans were quick to spot a new batch of novels coming our way as the collection’s sixth wave:
- Sean Stewart’s Yoda: Dark Rendezvous
- Karen Traviss’ Republic Commando #1 – Hard Contact
- Tim Lebbon’s Dawn of the Jedi: Into the Void
Back in August, the tentative release date was April 25, 2023. The newer reports suggest the books have been pushed back a month and will arrive on May 23 instead. Moreover, the new covers have been uncovered (hat tip to r/StarWarsLeaks). Check them out below:
As you can see, Lucasfilm and Del Rey have opted to go with striking — and wildly different — art styles this time around, giving each of these classic novels a distinct personality. Star Wars book collectors will surely want to grab these new reprints as soon as they’re available, since The Essential Legends Collection has found huge success among fans and the selection of novels has been quite attractive so far.
UPDATE: Del Rey has now officially unveiled the new covers and release date for all three books.
