Exclusive: New Details on Moff Gideon’s Appearance in ‘The Mandalorian’ Season 3
We are just three months away from the premiere of the third season of The Mandalorian. As always, there’s not much news and buzz (yet) around the highly anticipated return of Din Djarin and Grogu, as Disney and Lucasfilm’s current focus is mainly on Andor.
While Andor receives great critics reviews and is a welcomed change of tone in the galaxy far, far away, many fans are looking forward to the new The Mandalorian season as a more traditionally toned part of the Star Wars canon.
To make the wait a bit easier for the fans, we wanted to share with you a few brief details we’ve learned a week ago about the appearance of the show’s villain Moff Gideon, played by Giancarlo Esposito.
The following info doesn’t contain any plot details for the new season, but still could be considered slightly revealing.

We all know that Star Wars villains love wearing helmets. Until now, Gideon was one of the few who actually didn’t wear one, but this is about to change.
We’ve learned that in season three Moff Gideon will have new armor and a new helmet. The helmet will be black with red eyes and horns on it. The horns will be six, similar to what Darth Maul had. It will resemble a Mandalorian helmet, but it won’t be exactly the same as the other Mando helmets we’ve seen. It will look closer to Boba Fett’s helmet but it will be black, shiny, and very sleek. It will also be a bit bigger than the rest. Gideon is getting a full upgrade as he will also have a black and red jetpack.
There you have it. We don’t know if Gideon will start the season with this new armor, or if he will obtain it during the new adventures. We will have to wait and see. We will surely keep you posted if we find anything more about it.
