‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’ Trailer Debuts On ‘Star Wars’ Day

May the Fourth be with you! To celebrate Star Wars Day, Disney and Lucasfilm have released the second trailer for the upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi series for Disney Plus. After a few weeks of many interviews with the cast and crew, we finally have new footage to discuss, dissect, and get excited about!

We are now counting down the days for the series premiere, which is now three weeks away. Without further ado, check out the trailer here:

A new poster for the series has also been released by Lucasfilm. Check it out below:

The new trailer continues to hint at Vader without actually showing him, which might be surprising. If they haven’t showed the mask in two trailers, it’s unlikely we’ll get to see it in any promo before the show airs. We did get a closer look at Rupert Friend as the Grand Inquisitor, who looks better than in the previous trailer — he will surely be one menacing presence when the show premieres.

Check out some screenshots from the trailer here:

Obi-Wan Kenobi starts ten years after the events of Revenge of the Sith, and will feature the “rematch of the century” between Ewan McGregor’s Obi-Wan and Hayden Christensen’s Darth Vader. The show will also feature the antagonistic presence of three Inquisitors — they are the Third Sister, Reva, played by Moses Ingram, the Fifth Brother, played by Sung Kang, and the Grand Inquisitor, played by Rupert Friend. Joel Edgerton and Bonnie Piesse are reprising the roles of Owen and Beru Lars from the Star Wars prequels, while Indira Varma plays an Imperial official. Details on other characters in the show are being kept a secret, though rumors abound.

Stay tuned for more news on Obi-Wan Kenobi over the next few weeks, as we prepare for the show’s premiere on May 27.
