Star Wars Puppeteer Brian Herring Announces a Wrap on BB-8 for Episode IX

As the end of filming for Star Wars: Episode IX draws closer to the end, we expect more announcements about actors and crew wrapping up their part in the film’s principal production. Earlier this week, actor Anthony Daniels announced our favorite protocol droid C-3PO had wrapped. Well, now it’s time for another droid to say farewell to production, BB-8!

Lucasfilm puppeteer Brian Herring took to his Twitter account to announce the end of filming for the crew that bring the adorable rolling droid to life.

All reports and indications are that Episode IX should wrap principal photography later this month, so we expect more of these announcements soon, especially one from the very social media-active John Boyega! We will keep you posted as the wrap on production as a whole nears, which will very likely be accompanied by the long awaited title of the film.

Star Wars: Episode IX opens in theaters in the United States on December 20, 2019.
