My final thought is where is the Teaser trailer that the majority of fans weren’t allowed to see?

They’re probably saving it for a later date. Maybe to add a bit more footage and finish up the CGI, but that’s just speculation on my part.

from what I’m hearing it was a fairly short trailer that was pretty much exclusive to celebration. I don’t think we will ever see that one officially outside of leaks since they will likely release a full story trailer in the coming months. Remember that lucasfilm still has not released the rogue one “teaser” from last celebration so it seems they like to keep exclusives as exclusives rather than giving ‘first looks’ that come out later one. All non-exclusive materials seem to have been released concurrently with the live stream. Its a crying shame. This celebration (besides thrawn) was a bit of a letdown for me at home.

Mmmm? Perhaps. I still think Lucasfilm will release it, or perhaps they’ll reward the 99.999999% of the fans that weren’t at SWC with a longer trailer next weekend at SDCC. I just thought it was a bit disrespectful to those, 99.999999% of the fans that weren’t at SWC to have to see the buzz reel 3 times and the 000009% that were at SWC to see the teaser just so Disney could maximize the marketing effort. A bit lame. I get it, though. And I think Rogue One will be fantastic. But it’s a hit disrespectful to the majority of fans…..

My final thoughts are that I had way more fun watching the panels than I did hearing new news come out. All of the actors like Warwick Davis, Ray park, Mark Hamill, Sam Witwer, and the rest all had great fun on stage cracking jokes and having fun. As a star wars fan it just made my day to watch the people behind it get to geek out on stage.

Yeah. Celebration has never been about just the movie news. It was always about celebrating all aspects of Star Wars as a whole, and you can tell everyone working on it is extremely passionate. In terms of movie news, a slight disappointment. Everything else? Incredibly entertaining.

Rebels definitely stole the show. I enjoyed the Rogue One BTS trailer, but the future filmmakers panel was a complete bust. I cannot even fathom why they didn’t stream it when nothing was really shown.

Boyega said that Episode VIII takes the TFA characters in new directions, which is pretty much what we have been hearing since shooting began. They are being quite secretive in particular about Finn’s role, which may suggest some surprise twist perhaps.

      I doubt it.
I think he just means it’s a different feel since it’s done by a different director.
