Sabine featured in the far right of the concept art – is that a hint for rogue one maybe??? Why show her instead of Kanan or Ahsoka?

Because Sabine is an Asian character. If they made Disneyland South Africa or something, you could bet that they would use Finn prominently.

I would not count on Sabine or any Star Wars Rebels character appearing in Star Wars Anthology: Rogue One. Don’t read too much into her appearance here.

You never know. It wouldn’t be impossible to one day see a live-action version of her on the big screen.

Not sure… don’t think so for now. But I remember they said there weren’t going to be any Jedi in Rogue One.

The model of the park looks amazing. But do they really need a 1000ft Bob Iger statue?

What we need to make to let people feel this is a crappy photoshop montage…

if any thing is left in an open layout like that in China it will get trashed in a few hours of the pre-openings.

Sabine’s Asian? With animation, I couldn’t really tell if she was that, Latina or something else.

Sabine is not necessarily Asian! These people are freaking out by an illustration of costumed people whom tourists can pose next to! If you look in the background of both Sabines (including short girl with navy blue officer’s hat) you see a Chinese boy posing with Chewbacca in the room up one step. Also the little boy posing in X-Wing costume will not be a child actor in TFA – J.J. Abrams will not use child actors to ruin their development lives A GOOD THING!

Sabine was in the Clone Wars cartoon series as once being a Mandalorean member of Death Watch. But as governor Pre Vizsla leaves the moon to overthrow the queen of Mandalor, Sabine helps Obi Wan and Mandalorean people wanting to eliminate their warrior past with peace.

        Huh? Were you joking or..?
Because Sabine was absolutely not a Mandalorian in The Clone Wars. She had just been born during that time, so that’s completely impossible.

You are referring to Satine’s sister Bo-Katan Kryze… Sabine was a baby during ROTS so could not have appeared in Clone Wars. She is a girl who enlisted at the Imperial Academy on Mandalore and defected to join the Ghost crew at some point. I don’t think she is in any way related to the other Mandalorians we have seen in canon before. As for her ethnicity, I think she was meant to be a more racially ambiguous character… I mean there are deeper levels of ethnicity than what is generally represented in the media – Black, White, Asian, etc. A lot of people are a hodge podge of ethical backgrounds.

True. Hera appeared in TCW as a little girl.
Sabine is much younger than Hera.

When did she appear in The Clone Wars. I was majorly let down by A New Dawn which never explained how Sabine, Zeb, or Chopper hooked up with the Ghost crew. So far the new EU has been equally disappointing.

Ok, Hera herself didn’t appear in the episodes but her father did. Season one E19-21 are the Ryloth story. Official info from starwars.com:
‘Hera Syndulla’s father Cham was a Twi’lek independence fighter with a suspicion of authority, a knack for leadership, and the ability to balance loyalty to those under his command with unswerving dedication to a larger goal. Cham’s daughter brought many of these same qualities to the struggle against the Empire on Lothal.’

Plus it is confirmed that Sabine is/was a Mandalorian warrior.

I agree with Mandalorean! In season 1 EP 1 she was just there in Disney’s Rebels. How much do you think Anakin has aged between CW and Rebels? She had to be trained by Queen Satine or Death Watch! Time is at most 3 years! Only Jengo Fett left Mandalore to Kamino 11+ years before CW!

That is why J.J. Abram’s hates EU because there is too much textbook fill ins needed for movie flow! She was a waitress in war-torn Mandalore and about 6 years Darth Vader and Gran Moff Tarkin are still having problems with rebels whose training lacks! I hate PT stuff and EU going outside the movies and so does the general movie audience much greater than fans!

This is totally AWESOME! I’ve lived in Shanghai for 3 years, I could never imagine to see anything related to Star Wars here! I’m so pumped!! If TFA is a huge success in China, maybe Disney will build a Star Wars theme park here!?!? WHO KNOWS!!!

Having spent a lot of time in Shanghai (and China in general) I’m afraid to say this may be a miss. China’s really not into Star Wars. Maybe TFA will change that, but the original trilogy was never released on the big screen. The prequels were and did moderately well, but for most Chinese I know, they were “just another action movie”.

We’ll see… I’ll probably check it out but I have a feeling Avengers and Marvel will do a lot better.
