Another great episode from Kristian and the team – though I will STILL, and WHOLEHEARTEDLY disagree with his assertion about so-called “THE BIG THREE” of STAR WARS.

    #noloveforlando

Props to Maude for remembering that Oscar Isaac is about to portray Apocalypse in the next X-Men movie.

Such a great episode. Totally agree that they need to bring in some kind of Old Republic love into the new cannon!

Loved the episode but campea is starting to grate on me with AMC. It’s like he has to be in EVERY SHOW they do. I wish this had a rotating panel of people with Kristian leading it, not just these 3 all the time.

Also, Campea seems to always disagree just for the sake of causing arguements

I loved it when Mark Ellis came in during the latter part of the show.
As a rotating Council Member I say bring in THE SCHNEPP.

CAMPEA is never the most humile of individuals – BUT I agree with most of his assertions – I too am concerned about the dilution of the STAR WARS brand by doing a live action TV show which may not live up to the visual/story quality of the upcoming movies.

I know Disny have a Golden Goose in STAR WARS, but I don’t want them to slice it open due to mere greed and we end up with a disaster.

I’d prefer them to just give us fine quality Golden Star Wars eggs sparsely, and every few years – no need for Episode movies, Spin-offs, cartoons, live-action all at once.

I think that this is the first time I have ever agreed with Campea about anything. I used to think that AMC just pandered to “nerd audiences,” and were not critical enough towards many films, actors and directors. Almost every actor and director they ever mentioned is extremely talented in their eyes – this episode was the first time I have heard them say otherwise, so it was quite refreshing to actually hear him be against the idea of a live action TV series. I appreciated the honesty, and he is definitely not alone in his opinion.

Maybe a Star Wars tv series could focus on something that the Movies will/should leave alone, The Yuuzhan Vong. Like Battlestar Galactia, the Vong would be frigging perfect for a tv series!

If they do a live action tv show, following the format of the BBC’s Sherlock Holmes with Cumberbatch might be the way to go. Netflix would be great too. Three big, well-devolved episodes per season. No filler episodes where nothing happens. Especially, if the show takes place in the OT or ST era and uses familiar characters.

Hey Kristian and gang. Great show. Actually the 1st three Celebrations were the same year as the prequel releases. ’99 Denver, ’02 and ’05 in Indy. I was at the one in ’02 and had a blast. Lots of memories. This will be the best one by far and have fun.

Great job council! I look forward to it every thursday! I enjoy everyones perspective on things, including Campea. I don’t believe he disagrees just to play devils advocate. He always explains his take on each subject really well. I also happen to agree with him about the tv series but its difficult to pass judgement until we know the premise.
