UPDATE! Clear Your Browser’s Cache

If you think the site is not updating normally and stays on an early date like November 28 or December 1, then try clearing your browser’s cache (Ctrl+shift+delete).

We found an error on our cache plug-in and fixed it. Still if you had trouble before we suggest for a final cache clear.

People are visiting the site from multiple places – home, work, phone. They have the issue only on one of those and they can see this from the other. 🙂

Maybe a good chance to adress my problem commenting on your page when using my mobile phone. Yes I’m currently the pc, 95% of the time I’m on the phone.
So what’s the problem, it started after the website has been updated maybe 5 months ago?
Ok, when I try to write a comment on my phone the text-box is just slightly larger than the screen. Text will go out of the screen but still writing. When the box reaches the bottom part it constantly tries to re-focus the text part, but the same time it skips to a portion above.
In this state I can’t see the text. So I try to relocate the cursor to the end, the cursor will skip to a portion 2-3 lines above. I must move the cursor with my finger and if I can’t locate the proper location withing 1s it will skip back to a few lines before. So this is really, really annoying because it forces me to write blindly and/or relocate the cursor to correct a typo = I must relocate the exact spot within a second or the cursor will skip back.
Really annoying and no idea what’s causing this nor what could possibly fix it. But I can’t be the only one!

You should try QUICK CACHE PRO for WordPress it’s much better than W3 Total Cache. Anytime you or an admin/author etc makes a change it will flush the cached sections of the site automatically.

Plus. W3 Total Cache is run by some of the most arrogant people. Webmaster – whatever you do, do not pay W3 Edge for support… total rip-off and horrible customer service.

The problem with not refreshing or the issues while commenting?

I have exactly the same thing as IGphone88
I either go through twitter, or now hit refresh button.
Viral this started happening after say 3 articles that were posted since the trailer, release.
I do not feel it at our end causing this.
I also feel that the number of responses has dropped off, which who is to say from article from article. But I would assume you have lost a few viewers unintended due to this glitch.
My cache is fine and my browser. Unless this is a google/andriod thing when we were updated.
Hope you figure it out. I’ll just refreash the tab.

You can edit your comment only for 10 minutes after you made the post. After that you can’t

I’ve had the edit option either disappear or not show long before the 10 minutes has elapsed.
In one case, my comment didn’t show. So I rewrote and posted it again.
and it showed up right under my first attempt!

So, Viral, that’s why I commented ‘brilliant’ twice. You can remove the first ‘brilliant’ if you want, but i can’t recall which article.

The number of visits hasn’t dropped one bit. This is a strange issue that only a dozen of people have. We’re trying to figure it out, because everyone is important. 🙂

I think you’ll probably find that you’ve actually lost a lot of commenters here since you opened The Cantina. Personally, I don’t tend to post here anywhere near as often as I used to since visiting the forums.

The Problem with the refresh, for me anyway, is only specific to this site. None of the other sites I visit on a daily basis have this problem. Also, I am noticing that even after clearing my cache, and cookies etc, the problem still persists. I have even noticed on separate visits that sometimes the top story is different each time, sometimes a older story, sometimes a newer story…

I cleared my cache. Still having the same problem. Obviously some coding was changed on the site sometime around November 28 – Dec 1 which makes it not auto-refresh on some browsers (Internet Explorer for sure). This is a website DESIGN problem. Not a USER problem. FIX IT PLEASE.

From one Anonymous to another: I don’t have that problem on my computer, so it sounds like the problem is on your computer. It’s not the fault of the website designer. They have a great website.

Viral Hide, sry m8 but it’s just not working.
I’v tried to clear the cache from the last 4 weeks as you suggested and i’m still having the same problem. Like, I did it yesterday and waited untill you guys will upload a new content. Opened the site today and all I saw was the this post about the problem, and it didn’t even load the new comments. I had to clear my chache again (this time, from the lsat day) to see the new post (about GL and the teaser..) and the new comments for this post…

(Just reminding you – we’re talking about Chrome on Windows 7, my Galaxy s 4 suffers from the same problem only on this site).

Thanks for the help anyway, I really hope that you guys still trying to fix it.

As I said, my browser is Chrome. I’v cleared my cache yesterday (from the last 4 weeks as you suggested) and when I tried to open the site today I still had the same problem (not seeing new comments, not seeing new posts…)

Since I couldn’t see any new posts ( like the GL teaser one, or your new comments on this post) I had to clear it again today, about 5-7 hours ago (this time i’v set it to clear “from the last day”)

Gonna leave it like that untill tommorow, i’ll keep you updated if my problem solved.

Yes – I have been showing the same news story on your site since about the time of the trailer release. I have to refresh everytime I come to the site in order to see new news. For the first week, I thought you were taking a break or something. This does not happen on any other site. This happens to me on Windows 7 / Chrome. Good luck getting it fixed. We love the site! Keep up the great work.

Hey Viral, thought i’d chime in; This seemed to start when the article about Oscar Isaac popped up for me. I read the article then refreshed after going to the home screen and the site had reverted back to the previous villan article as the headliner….like the Isaacs article had never existed. It went back and forth like that for me for almost two days. I’ve got windows 7 with Chrome (home and work)and was getting the same results from three different computers at two locations. FYI. Seems fine now tho…

Viral, I’m still having the problem. Chrome user, both on phone and Windows 7, cleared my cache both yesterday and today (set it to clear from the last 4 weeks) and it’s not helping.

In other words, in order to see the updates on this (and only this) site I have to clear my cache each time i enter…and it worked just fine untill the teaser post.

Yeah, I’m still having it, too. Since the trailer was put up… I can clear the cache which will fix it, or click on the “2014” link to see new posts, but it’s annoying as I have to do this every time I visit the site, which is many times a day =)… Just figured I’d let you know. It seems to be a widespread problem that more than just a handful of people are having…
