New ‘Tales of the Empire’ Clip Previews the Aftermath of Barriss’ Confession

With only a few days left before Tales of the Empire drops on Disney Plus, Lucasfilm is ramping up the promotional push. This is now the third clip they have released online from the six-episode anthology series, and the first one to focus on what happened to Barriss Offee after the trial depicted at the end of The Clone Wars season 5.

In the new clip, Barriss is visited in jail by the Fourth Sister, who goes by the name Lyn, and who is ready to offer her another chance in light of recent developments. Though Barriss’ accusation of Ahsoka being a murderer and a traitor was found to be false, the Inquisitor argues she was on to something after the Jedi tried to execute the Chancellor. It seems that this will be the first episode featuring Ahsoka’s former teenage friend, and will carve the path for her post-Clone Wars fate. Whatever mission Lyn has in mind for her, we will have to wait until Saturday to find out.

Previous clips have shown an encounter between General Grievous and Morgan Elsbeth, as well as a compilation of several moments that act as a 30-second TV spot for the series. Six Tales of the Empire episodes, half focused on Morgan Elsbeth, and half focused on Barriss Offee, will start streaming on Disney Plus on Saturday. A second season of Tales of the Jedi, the original flagship in the Tales animated franchise, is in the works and is scheduled to arrive on the platform later this year.
