Hasbro Announces New E-Wing, Lightsabers, and R5-D4 Droid Collectibles
In a new set of announcements, Hasbro unveiled a new E-Wing vehicle, new lightsabers, and a collectible R5-D4 droid. The E-Wing will be up for preorder starting today at 1 pm ET and is scheduled for release in the Fall of this year. The lightsabers and R5-D4 toy will be available this Spring.
The E-Wing ship design is inspired by its appearance in the Ahsoka series. It was shown on the planet Lothal when Sabine Wren ran away from the city’s celebrations. However, the E-Wing is a beloved ship among fans of Star Wars books and Legends. Check out images and the official description of the set that now makes its way to The Vintage Collection:
The E-wing is a new advanced combat vessel introduced as part of the New Republic fleet in the years after the Empire’s fall. Astromech droid KE4-N4 served alongside New Republic E-wing pilot Lieutenant Callahan on Lothal. Fans can celebrate the legacy of STAR WARS, the action-and-adventure-packed space saga from a galaxy far, far away with this premium 3.75-inch scale STAR WARS: THE VINTAGE COLLECTION REPUBLIC E-WING & KE4-N4 inspired by the ship’s and characters’ appearances in STAR WARS: AHSOKA. This vehicle and figure set features premium detail and design, with folding landing gear, a sliding canopy, and cargo storage, and includes a highly articulated carded KE4-N4 figure. Also on Hasbro’s lineup is its Lightsaber Forge line and the addition of the new “Kyber Core.” The Lightsaber Forge line allows fans to mix and match different parts to create unique designs of their own. The Kyber Core sabers feature either a translucent cover or a see-through glowing core that displays the inner kyber crystal.
The new lightsaber designs include Baylan Skoll, Sabine Wren, Luke Skywalker, Ahsoka Tano, and Darth Vader, as well as one for the Darksaber. Feel free to check out photos of the new lightsabers showcased in the previously listed order:
Hasbro’s last toy reveal is for a new Droidables R5-D4. The interactive toy has several different lights, sounds, and motions and will be available exclusively at Walmart until August:
