‘Skeleton Crew’ Set Footage Leaks, Showing a Speeder Bike Stunt Being Filmed

The first set footage from Star Wars: Skeleton Crew has managed to leak out, indicating that a speeder bike sequence of some kind will be in the show. Possible spoilers ahead.

Bespin Bulletin has managed to snag some footage from Skeleton Crew from a set built at California State University, Dominguez Hills, which appears to be a rehearsal for a stunt scene that will be filmed at a later point. The stunt in question involves a speeder bike speeding forward before unsuccessfully braking, with the poor driver careening off a cliff. Check out the footage below:

Bespin Bulletin believes that the character played by Ravi Cabot-Conyers is the driver who is crashing, thanks to what his stunt double appears to be wearing, apparently matching up with what the mystery characters behind Jude Law are wearing in the promotional image from the series shown at Disney D23 (pictured below). Given that he’s playing a lead character in the series, it seems unlikely that this stunt is meant to be our character’s demise, so he’ll likely end up bruised but no worse for wear.

Skeleton Crew

Skeleton Crew is said to revolve around a group of kids lost in space in the galaxy far, far away, set around the same time as The Mandalorian and its associated spin-off series. As of right now, Jude Law is the only cast member officially confirmed by Lucasfilm, but the aforementioned Ravi Cabot-Conyers is reportedly among the leads of the series as well, alongside Kyriana Kratter and two unidentified actors. The series is tonally described as a coming-of-age story in a similar vein to Netflix’s Stranger Things, with director Jon Watts (best known for directing Spider-Man: Homecoming, Spider-Man: Far From Home, and Spider-Man: No Way Home) set to executive produce and direct for the series, and Christopher Ford (who co-wrote Watts’s first Spider-Man film) set to pen the scripts. Executive producers for the series include Watts, Ford, Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, and Kathleen Kennedy.

Star Wars: Skeleton Crew is set to release on Disney Plus at some point in 2023.
