‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’: O’Shea Jackson Jr. Offers High Praise for Mystery Role

O’Shea Jackson Jr. has stated that his involvement in the upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi series has been an absolute highlight in his career.

Talking to PopCulture.com, Jackson Jr. stated that he was grateful for his role in the Disney Plus show, but that he couldn’t divulge details on the highly-anticipated Star Wars project — he joked that Mickey Mouse was calling him, making sure he didn’t say too much about the secretive series. Here’s what he had to (and could) say:

“[This is] the best job I ever had in my life… [I] can’t go into too many details, [I have] to wait for the green light.”

Jackson Jr. added that the project was a dream come true for him, explicitly hoping that there will be additional photography on the series in an effort to spend more time in the Star Wars world:

“It was such an honor to work for Star Wars. I’m such a nerd. If anybody who really knows me knows I’m a nerd to the core. That was the best job I ever had in my life. I just want to go back. I hope there’s reshoots!”

Lastly, Jackson Jr. finds common ground with fans anticipating the trailer for the series, noting that he is waiting for it with bated breath like the rest of us:

“I can’t wait for people to see it. I can’t wait to see a trailer. I’m over here drooling like everybody else.”

Obi-Wan Kenobi is set a decade after the events of Revenge of the Sith and nine years before the events of A New Hope, revealing the hidden trials and tribulations of one of the most well-known Jedi ever, as fate has him cross paths with Darth Vader once again. The series is in the pipeline at Disney Plus, arriving at some point next year. O’Shea Jackson Jr. can currently be seen in The Now, a show streaming on The Roku Channel.
