UPDATE! Poe Dameron’s X-Wing and the Millennium Falcon LEGO Sets Revealed!

lego-star-wars-2015-logo

The site fbtb.net posted two images with new LEGO sets from The Force Awakens. Set 75102 is Poe Dameron’s X-Wing (717 pcs), and set 75105 is The Millennium Falcon (1329 pcs) with some curious minifgs of characters we haven’t heard before…

POTENTIAL SPOILERS

From fbft.net:

*Images removed at the request of LEGO

Poe Dameron’s Black X-Wing is no surprise at all. It’s been rumored for some time. The minifigs of this set didn’t reveal anything new

The Millennium Falcon is huge, but the most interesting thing about this set is that the minifigs revealed two new characters from the movie.

Tasu Leech and Kanjuklub Gang Member. What are these guys doing on the Falcon? A gang member? Very interesting indeed.

Tell us what you think on these new guys in the comments below.

Thanks to Tim Veekhoven for the heads up.

UPDATE!

Notice neither red or Finn have a light sabre which would suggest that neither of them use it in the film

Their weapons seem a bit more primitive than the standard blasters.

It’s definitely a fucking Lego gun that doesn’t accurately depict whatever weapons they actually have.

… Seriously, though, Lego has a pretty good track record with Star Wars. And you should probably get those anger issues checked out. The only one you’re harming is yourself when you use the Internet to vent your childish frustrations on anonymous, random people.

The weapons are too unique to not at least somewhat resemble the actual weapons…My son has a lot of Star Wars Legos that are pretty true to the actual designs…please control your ignorance.

Oh really? I was collecting Legos since they’ve existed. This is a standard feature of Legos: they are not greatly detailed as individual pieces, your agreement is not ccontingent on that being true, it’s just a fact.

As far as Star Wars goes, their weapons are so undetailed they literally use the same piece for every lightsaber handle and the brown guns shown here are common Lego accessories that have been includedbin many different sets.

You guys need to get over it and move on because you’re not right at all.

LEGO has used 12 different gun variants for Star Wars characters (that I can count, perhaps more), as well as at least 4 different lightsabre hilts.

I just think that since the set seems to take place on Jakku at the start of the film, they may have not gotten lightsabers yet. I personally believe that both Finn and Rey will use lightsabers, with Rey eventually using a double-bladed one. What is more interesting is that they still don’t have last names on the box.

        Possible spoiler:
I’ve read that once they meet up with Maz Kanata, Maz wants Rey to take it, but she refuses, so gives it to Finn. Finn tries fighting Kylo Ren, but doesn’t do so well. Then Rey comes in and takes over with fighting skill superior to Ren.

Wouldn’t read too much into that, Rey’s main weapon seems to be a staff, not a blaster.

I don’t think that means that much. This is their “starting point” I assume. If they get the weapon in the end it won’t be in the current Lego sets.

      (SPOILERS)

And the x wing is in the ice planet where Starkiller Base is. I don’t think the resistance has the base in the same planet, so probably they fly the x-wings from the green planet to the ice planet, which could mean a very discreet attack if they’re not bringing big starships to destroy Starkiller.

In the other hand, well, the falcon set… they pretty much insist with the moisture vaporators in Jakku don’t you think???????????

It looks like they are not on the Falcon but shooting at it, if you look in the corner of the box. Are they on Jakku (background)?

    • July 16, 2015 at 2:17 am

      definitely on jakku-

my guess would be that rey and finn steal the falcon from these pirates or gang if you will because the first order is after them and looking for lukes sabre which they acquired – which leads to the falcon using evasive maneuvers through the wreckage of the star destroyer.

I did notice that with the trademarks. I wonder why the others are not trademarked… Regarding BB-8, either he is Poe’s astromech at the beginning and gets seperated at some point taking up with Rey, Finn, Han, and Chewie on Jakku…or it’s the other way around…BB-8 belongs to Rey at the start and as they eventually come across Poe and the Resistance before a climactic battle, BB-8 ends up flying with Poe.

Maybe Poe gets killed by Kylo Ren after getting captured and Finn brings BB-8 with him while escaping. Maybe BB-8 holds some vital information?!

I don’t think Poe gets killed- he flied an xwing later in the movie- poe gets captured on jakku or near it, and bb-8 ends up with Rey- she hooks up with fin somehow – maybe poe hid the lightsabre on bb and the first order is once again looking for a droid like they were in ANH- It would be kind of weak but it doesn’t surprise me

It seems the black X Wing could well be for Elite X Wing Pilots. I like the fact that the Storm Troopers and what not will actually be doing stuff rather than looking good in shots. From movie clips so far it seems proper stunt men have been used to film decent fighting footage. Made everything more functional and dynamic and complete re design of weapons and costumes to add abit more realism to the universe. Well thought through. Hope it all shows through the movie. Makes u wonder what Rogue One gunner be like 😉

This movie better be good. The prequels were monumentally shite compared to the original trilogy. The directing and storey telling was so crap in the prequels. Even basic shots and storey telling wasent even done right. U got the sense Lucas only did 1 or 2 takes for each scene and the said to the crew and actors that will do, fuck it. Print that one, that’ll do. The prequels destroyed the Storey. I even think the storey delivery of the prequels wasent even set out right. Come on Let’s Hope these new movies have atleast basics done right. If this movie crap. Then that will seal the deal on modern Sci Fi pretty much. Come on JJ bring back Sci Fi. Do Not put Sun Flare in the movie u will completly screw the film up bigtime. No Sun Flare. U don’t need that shit in a movie it looks crap and actually irratates u bigtime. I actually couldent even watch both Star Treks and the New Total Recall. All 3 of the movies were hammered with almost every shit consumed with lense flare sun flare effects. If he gets 10 minutes or less, then he will probably be expanded upon for training the next Jedi in episode VIII. If he gets a lot of screen time, then I would expect him to get killed off – but I honestly don’t see that happening this episode. I would expect him to be taken down by Snope in Episode VIII, who would then be taken out by either Rey, Finn or Kylo Ren in Episode IX. This is purely guesswork on my part though.

Was just about to say the same, looks like an explosion too. Isn’t the Starkiller base on that planet, judging from the trailers? Looks as though Poe could be saving the day a-la-Luke in episode IV by destroying the enemy base.

Think Poe will be the new fan favourite.

thats 100% Rey and Finn in the Falcon’s cockpit. so they steal the falcon from pirates, fly it on the surface pursued by TIE fighers and then what? where does Han get on board saying “where home” ?

    • July 16, 2015 at 9:03 am
      Permalink

Han and Chewie are already in the Falcon. They are frozen in carbonite in the living room (the pirates kept them threre). One of the pirates is Lando disguised. While rey drives the Falcon, Finn unfrozen them. Han thinks Finn is a pirate : “Oh you moron! The son of the pirate I’m gonna shoot you right away” (Han Solo kind of dialog) but Finn shows up his huge blaster and says “it’s not the moment for that, your daughter is flewing the Falcon. Then rey does a fancy aerial (last shot from the first teaser), everyone falls in the floor and slide from the living room to the entrance of the cockpit. Han and Chewie stand up and see rey.

      “Chewie, we are home”

Weird that Finn and Rey don’t have TMs. I would have expected that for Rey if there really is a reveal about her identity, but why Finn? DO NOT tell me they’re both Han’s kids from different mothers???

    • July 16, 2015 at 10:31 am
      Permalink

I HIGHLY doubt that. Why does the fact there is no last name revealed mean it must be “Solo”? Finn’s last name might tie into a minor character, like Zane Leonis, or maybe he doesn’t even have a last name or something. Also, I think Rey is Luke’s kid, not Han and Leia’s, so Rey Skywalker, not Solo.

Another theory as to why there is no TM on Rey and Finn:

From a practical standpoint, those names are common names in the real world outside of Star Wars – people give their newborn kids those kinds of names – so I can understand why there wouldn’t be TM’s next to their names……or, they’re waiting until the films are released to reveal their foll names and from then on, anything that has their full names in print, we will be seeing TM’s next to them.
