The Mandalorian’s writer and executive producer Jon Favreau, and director Dave Filoni took the Celebration stage today to give us a first look at the highly anticipated first ever Star Wars live action TV series. Actors Pedro Pascal, Gina Carano and Carl Weathers were the special guests, and the attendees were treated with a special sizzle reel, that was not streamed for the rest of the world. Set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order, the series follows a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic.
The first episode of the series will debut with the launch of DIsney’s new streaming service Disney+ on November 12. The series features an all-star cast that includes Pedro Pascal, Gina Carano, Carl Weathers, Giancarlo Esposito, Emily Swallow, Omid Abtahi, Werner Herzog, and Nick Nolte.
