Disney Parks Blog just dropped an official statement on when we’ll finally be able to step foot into a galaxy far, far away with their highly-anticipated Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge park expansion.
Just announced: #StarWars: Galaxy’s Edge will open in summer 2019 at @Disneyland Resort and in late fall 2019 at @WaltDisneyWorld Resort! https://t.co/1h3ksHls5S pic.twitter.com/PzLSbpwU1B

From the Disney Parks Blog :
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will open in summer 2019 at Disneyland Resort and in late fall 2019 at Walt Disney World Resort, when guests will land in the middle of the action as they live their own Star Wars stories.
Looks like 2019 is shaping up to be one heck of a year for Star Wars fans! Episode IX, Star Wars Celebration Chicago, and now we’ll actually be able to step into the universe our imaginations have been swimming in for years. Despite few specifics about the park expansion, we know it is set on the Outer Rim planet called Batuu and that it’s Disney’s largest expansion ever. We’ll get our first introduction to Batuu in Timothy Zahn’s upcoming novel Thrawn: Alliances this July, so stay tuned for that.
Being a Star Wars fan just keeps getting better and better! See you all on Batuu!
