Below, meet the team involved with the site, the podcast, and the forum to learn more about them, and get ready for a wizard 2022!

What was one of your first Star Wars related memories?
My first Star Wars memory that I will always remember was when my brother took me to the premiere of Return of the Jedi in my country (Bulgaria) back in April 1986. Back then movies from the US had huge delays coming to Easter Europe, hence the late premiere. I was only 6 years old and the theater was sold out. That didn’t stop the owners to sell tickets more than the actual capacity of the theater, but that was a known procedure so we went to see the movie bringing our own foldable chair. The interest for this movie was huge. To this day Return of the Jedi is my all time favorite Star Wars movie.

What planet would you visit in the Star Wars galaxy—and why?
For some reason I am really attracted to Tatooine. I know it’s just a desert planet which was visited too many times in the past 44 years, but I would really love to visit all the places we know from the movies. For now I guess I will just visit Tunisia.

What character from Star Wars would you most like to meet?
Since I was a kid I was always a huge fan of Boba Fett. I guess he is the one I would most like to meet, despite the fact that LFL resurrected the character in the last few years and made him not so mysterious and interesting as he was back in the ’80s.

Is there anything else you’d like our readers to know about you?
I am working as a digital compositor in the VFX studio Cinemotion. In the last few years we’ve been doing projects mainly for Universal, and my secret dream is that someday maybe we will get lucky and work on a Star Wars related project.

What was one of your first Star Wars related memories?
I’ve loved Star Wars since the first time I watched The Empire Strikes Back with my Dad and he explained who Luke Skywalker was, while making really bad lightsaber sounds.

What planet would you visit in the Star Wars galaxy—and why?
Naboo, I feel like you can get a little bit of everything, and since I haven’t been to Italy or Europe yet, that would be the closest to it.

What character from Star Wars would you most like to meet?
Han Solo. We would get into a lot of trouble together with Chewie. Like the Star Wars version of the Three Stooges.

Is there anything else you’d like our readers to know about you?
I am a professional writer and podcaster, with an English Degree and Minor in Journalism with a concentration on Communications. I write articles and reports weekly for the site, oversee content alongside EIC/owner Val Trichkov, and help with editing, proofreading, and social media. I also host our official podcast The Resistance Broadcast. In addition, I host a nostalgia movie podcast called Just Like The Movies. To get a better idea about me, my likes, dislikes, and Supreme-level Dad jokes, you can find me on Twitter @JohnnyHoey.

What was one of your first Star Wars related memories?
Going to see Return of the Jedi in 1984 with my dad.

What planet would you visit in the Star Wars galaxy—and why?
Dagobah. Looks like good trail running.

What character from Star Wars would you most like to meet?
Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Is there anything else you’d like our readers to know about you?
I write novels, enjoy trail running and cycling, and live in Portland, Oregon.

What was one of your first Star Wars related memories?
I grew up with the prequel trilogy, and didn’t see the OT until a few years later. I vividly remember watching Revenge of the Sith over and over again when I was 7-8 and saying “Oh, I wish I knew what happens next!” Part of me I think knew there were other movies, but for some reason I never checked them out until years later. When I finally did, my mind was blown.

What planet would you visit in the Star Wars galaxy—and why?
Probably something like Takodana or Naboo, just because they seem so gorgeous. Endor seems a bit less friendly, especially when you consider there are killing bears all over the place.

What character from Star Wars would you most like to meet?
Yoda, obviously. Not only is he my favorite character, but just imagine what that little guy must have seen over 900 years! Who would turn down a drink with the best Jedi that ever lived?

Is there anything else you’d like our readers to know about you?
If anyone wants to know something else about me, I’d encourage them to go to the SWNN Team page, where I dumped a lot of info about myself. I love talking about movies, especially Star Wars and The Lord of the Rings. I live in Spain and I’m a PhD student in Physics.

What was one of your first Star Wars related memories?
I’ve loved Star Wars basically my whole life – since I was 6 or 7 years old. My earliest Star Wars memory is begging my dad for the VHS original trilogy box set. It had Darth Vader on the cover — as soon as I saw him, I was hooked! I also remember my dad taking me to The Phantom Menace in theaters — I loved the movie (especially the podracing), but I did leave the theater asking my dad where Luke Skywalker was. Haha!

What planet would you visit in the Star Wars galaxy—and why?
I would love to visit Naboo. Ever since it first appeared on the big screen with the city of Theed, the palace, and the lake country of Varykino, I’ve dreamed of visiting. There is no place more beautiful in Star Wars.

What character from Star Wars would you most like to meet?
I would love to meet Yoda. After the past few difficult years, I feel like he’d have some great advice for me and would help make me laugh. Also who wouldn’t want to meet the best Star Wars creature in the galaxy?!

Is there anything else you’d like our readers to know about you?
There is nothing that makes me happier than Star Wars. I’m so lucky to be part of this team on SWNN and to podcast twice a week with The Resistance Broadcast. I’m so thankful for this community and can’t wait to geek out about all the Star Wars awesomeness to come!

What was one of your first Star Wars related memories?
I remember having like a bootleg or “taped from the TV version” of Episode V with “EMPIRE STRIKES BACK” written on the label in all caps with blue pen. I remember at the time thinking it was like the coolest movie cause it was for adults, but I was allowed to watch it as well. I guess that might mean I saw Empire before the other films but I really don’t remember. Star Wars has just kind of always existed in my life.

What planet would you visit in the Star Wars galaxy—and why?
Coruscant. I always loved going to major cities and being able to take in the spectacle of lights whenever the sun went down. I think for this reason seeing Coruscant lit up in contrast to space was always something that really stuck out to me.

What character from Star Wars would you most like to meet?
Kanan Jarrus is my favorite fictional character. So I think more than anyone I would have to say him. Though I would like a conversation with many other Jedi of choice, I think Kanan was someone that I connected with because of the choices that he made.

Is there anything else you’d like our readers to know about you?
I wouldn’t really consider myself someone who is “into music” but I used to pay attention to a lot of the bands in the scene that were really new and made friends with right people to make music a career for about 7 years of my life. I toured all over the world and sold hundreds of thousands of records in my metalcore band “The Devil Wears Prada”. It was a lot of fun and I used my knowledge to then join and help to build up the official podcast for SWNN, “The Resistance Broadcast”! Come and listen sometime!

What was one of your first Star Wars related memories?
Watching the Special Edition re-release of A New Hope in the biggest theater in my hometown. That’s what got me into Star Wars. Later, I was gifted the Special Edition VHS pack of the original trilogy, so I was fully prepared for The Phantom Menace in ’99.

What planet would you visit in the Star Wars galaxy—and why?
Naboo always seemed like an overall good place to visit and live in. As cool as most Star Wars planets are, they’re normally quite hostile and/or extreme. Alderaan looked quite picturesque and peaceful as well.

What character from Star Wars would you most like to meet?
Definitely Yoda. I feel like we’d never run out of things to discuss. His presence, at least in the prequels, is extremely calming.

Is there anything else you’d like our readers to know about you?
I’m just a simple writer trying to make my way in the universe. You can find me in Twitter at @RadioactiveJawa (lots of Spanish though), and I’m also putting together stuff over at TechRadar and Space(dot)com.

What was one of your first Star Wars related memories?
One of the first Star Wars memories that I have actually didn’t have to do with the movies, but as a kid, I went to a local comic book convention that always had a significant Star Wars presence. I don’t know why, but seeing several life-size versions of the characters I’d watched in the movies at home – and in the theater – always resonated with me.

What planet would you visit in the Star Wars galaxy—and why?
The Star Wars planet that I would be most interested in visiting is Coruscant. A self-sustaining ecumenopolis is an interesting concept to think about, and it’s neat to visualize.

What character from Star Wars would you most like to meet?
That’s a difficult question. I’d imagine that Yoda would probably provide the most insightful conversations, so I think that he’d be the one I’d be most likely to want to meet.

Is there anything else you’d like our readers to know about you?
I’m studying to get an education degree. It’s taking a while.

What was one of your first Star Wars related memories?
The earliest memory I have is watching Return of the Jedi with my sisters and absolutely loving the ewoks. Then, at age 11, I’ll never forget walking through my local mall and seeing a giant horizontal banner of just Darth Maul’s eyes teasing the upcoming film. The Phantom Menace really started it all for me–experiencing that movie in the theater (five times with whomever would take me!) turned me into the crazed Star Wars fan I am today. I can still remember going to Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, and KFC to collect as many The Phantom Menace toys and pogs that I could…

What planet would you visit in the Star Wars galaxy—and why?
I think I’d like to visit Coruscant the most. I want to take a tour of all the cool spots all over the planet (maybe take a risky trip to level 1313), see the Jedi Temple (maybe even try out a chair if they are still there), and eat at Dexter’s Diner.

What character from Star Wars would you most like to meet?
It would have to be Obi-Wan. He was, and is, my favorite character growing up and continue to love everything about his story arc. He’s faced a ridiculous amount of heartbreaking situations yet still tries to choose what’s right. He isn’t perfect, but tries to be the hero others need and that beyond inspires me.

Is there anything else you’d like our readers to know about you?
I’m an avid candy connoisseur who obsesses over any kind of gummy candy treat! I also love anything Tolkien-related and look to publish my own book later in 2022 inspired by some of the old fantasy greats like Narnia and Lord of the Rings. I have an undeniable love for thousand island dressing—it’s my condiment of life. I’ve also had a hilariously absurd history of being mascots for amusement parks and sports teams.

What was one of your first Star Wars related memories?
I saw Star Wars at the Sky Vue Drive-In in 1977 and it’s possibly my earliest memory. I also have strong memories of buying R2-D2 and the Jawa at Ben Franklin in 1978 and waiting endlessly for Boba Fett to arrive in the mail.

What planet would you visit in the Star Wars galaxy—and why?
Ach-To because it’s basically planet Ireland. I’ve lived in Ireland and also studied at Trinity College in Dublin as part of the Irish Writing Program.

What character from Star Wars would you most like to meet?
Princess Leia.

Is there anything else you’d like our readers to know about you?
I’m a novelist and you can read about my books on my website: darbyharn.com. No space opera so far, though that’s coming eventually. If you’re into superheroes at all, you may like my Eververse series of novels.

What was one of your first Star Wars related memories?
My dad borrowed the VHS original trilogy off a friend and we watched them. The Empire Strikes Back was my first experience of a true cliffhanger; I was shocked by the idea that this film had ended with so much unresolved story. Now, this was the 90’s, so while Return of the Jedi existed in the world, it didn’t in mine. I can’t tell you how much later, it felt like forever, but I randomly opened one of my dad’s bedside table draws and was greeted by the front cover of Episode 6, with Luke and his green lightsaber. In seeing that cover I have never felt so much relief that a story wasn’t over.

What planet would you visit in the Star Wars galaxy—and why?
Naboo during the time of the Republic – It seems like a cultural and visual paradise.

What character from Star Wars would you most like to meet?
K-2SO – The constant sass would make me laugh.

Is there anything else you’d like our readers to know about you?
That I love being part of the Star Wars community!

What was one of your first Star Wars related memories?
My first Star Wars related memory is walking past the living room while my Dad was watching TV, and I noticed this large slug sitting on a slab of stone. I doubled back and asked him what it was, and he replied “Star Wars“. I sat down, watched the rest of the film with him and never looked back.

What planet would you visit in the Star Wars galaxy—and why?
Perhaps Scarif, if the Empire moved out or turned it into a holiday resort. I imagine those beaches are quite nice in peace time!

What character from Star Wars would you most like to meet?
My instinct is to go with Luke Skywalker, as I’d have so many questions for him about what he got up to post-Return of the Jedi. But ideally I’d like to meet someone I could go for a beer with, and Poe Dameron feels like the kinda personable guy you could sit next to at a bar and chat for hours. Maybe Poe then.

Is there anything else you’d like our readers to know about you?
Outside of Star Wars, I’m also a big gamer, Liverpool FC fan and a drummer. I’ve not yet found a way to combine all four of those yet but I’m trying…

What was one of your first Star Wars related memories?
My dad taking me to see A New Hope for the Special Edition re-release in 97. Suffice it to say my life was changed and I never looked back!

What planet would you visit in the Star Wars galaxy—and why?
I’m torn between Naboo and Coruscant. Naboo is just gorgeous and looks like a beautiful place to visit but there’s just so much to do on Coruscant that I think it would have to be my choice. Like a planet sized New York city!

What character from Star Wars would you most like to meet?
For me it has to be Luke Skywalker. One of my heroes growing up, but also as an adult I really appreciate his journey in the sequels, where life hasn’t turned out how he expected but he still rises above it to be the hero we knew he was. I feel like there’s so much we can learn from him in both eras. Threepio would be my second choice, he’s seen it all and you know he’d tell you everything you wanted to know about all those adventures.

Is there anything else you’d like our readers to know about you?
Aside from Star Wars I’m a massive fan of Disney, DC, and Marvel so I love working with both the SWNN and MNN teams, it’s great to be part of a team that shares my passions and is just really friendly and open. I just want to say thanks again to Val for that opportunity and I can’t wait to see what next year brings.

What was one of your first Star Wars related memories?
Me and my sister used to race to the VCR after school so we could plug in those old fancy VHS devices. My sister would put in Lord of the Rings while I would put in A New Hope or Return of the Jedi. For the real ones that remember, the extended version of The Fellowship of the Ring had two VHS tapes so if my sister wasn’t quick enough at the end of the first tape, I would hijack the movie and switch it out. Then we got Two Towers, which only had one tape so there was no escape.

What planet would you visit in the Star Wars galaxy—and why?
I’m a city guy so I would go to Coruscant. That planet has always wowed me.

What character from Star Wars would you most like to meet?
Jar Jar. I have to know what’s going on in that dude’s mind. For the memes. Nothing more.

Is there anything else you’d like our readers to know about you?
I have the Star Wars franchise and Rocky franchise on equal footing in my mind. Blame my mom for Star Wars and my dad for Rocky. You can’t convince me Rocky IV isn’t one of the greatest films of all time, even better than Empire. Maybe it shouldn’t be the weakest of the original trilogy next time.

What was one of your first Star Wars related memories?
One of my earliest memories of Star Wars was when I was in pre-school, I would act out the opening to A New Hope and play all the roles and use a small playhouse we had as the escape pod on the Tantive IV. I also remember seeing C-3PO and R2-D2 at Disneyland before Star Tours opened – they were there to film a television commercial for the attraction.

What planet would you visit in the Star Wars galaxy—and why?
While I regularly visit Batuu, I would really get a kick out of visiting Canto Bight so I could protest the galactic 1% like the rebel scum I am.

What character from Star Wars would you most like to meet?
R2-D2 – if I can learn Binary, and considering that he hasn’t had his memories wiped, I would love to hear about all the adventures he and 3PO have had across all those lightyears.

Is there anything else you’d like our readers to know about you?
I’m a dedicated member of the Southern California Garrison of the 501st Legion. I find so much joy in bringing smiles to kids and adults alike when they see my fellow members and myself at conventions or charity events. I’m proud to be one of those ‘Bad Guys Doing Good’.

What was one of your first Star Wars related memories?
When I was 8 years old my dad took me to see the late night premiere of Revenge of the Sith. Being able to not only stay up late on a school night, but actually GO OUT on a school night let’s you know how important Star Wars was to me and my dad at the time. It’s impossible to forget the buzz around the theater and the excitement of seeing what we all thought would be the final SW movie. Getting to share that moment with my dad at such a young age was indescribable.

What planet would you visit in the Star Wars galaxy—and why?
I’m torn between Coruscant and Alderaan and while the allure of sampling some Toniray and taking in the Alderaan scene is tempting I have to go with Coruscant. Since I was just a tiny kid I have loved visiting big cities and this hub of the galaxy has gripped my imagination more than any planet. I’d choose to travel there during the High Republic era and tour the Senate building and witness Chancellor Lina Soh making history with her great works and then somehow get myself a tour of the Jedi temple from Bell Zettifar and Loden Greatstorm. I love politics, history, and being in the thick of things. This planet gives it all!

What character from Star Wars would you most like to meet?
Being a fan of essentially every Star Wars medium there are so many I could choose but the answer is simple: Han Solo. The swagger and confidence Han portrayed was something I not only admired as a kid, but greatly coveted. Struggling with self esteem and positive self talk was difficult and this character provided me with someone I could look to and be in awe of. I could write for paragraph’s about what this character means to me as he had a great impact on my childhood. Also, if you get to meet Han chances are you might stumble into Chewie as well!

Is there anything else you’d like our readers to know about you?
I once took 3 vacation days from work simply for Star Wars. The AMC theater at Disney Springs in Orlando was doing a marathon event showing all the films leading up to Episode IX’s release the next day. A friend, Casey, from my “The High Jedi Council” group chat flew in for it. We left the marathon event before Episode IX played to pick up our other close friend Luke from the airport and then immediately came back and watched the movie together. We have a pact to watch every Star Wars movie together and it was beautiful to come together for this moment and then visit Galaxy’s Edge the next day. (If you want to hear a funny story about how I got the tickets feel free to reach out).

What was one of your first Star Wars related memories?
One of my first Star Wars related memories was watching the original trilogy (and maybe also Phantom Menace) when I was five. My parents gave me pizza and Sprite and we watched a movie every night until we’d seen all the ones that existed at the time. From then on, I was hooked on Star Wars.

What planet would you visit in the Star Wars galaxy—and why?
Coruscant. The entire planet is bustling with activity from the Jedi Temple and the Senate chambers, all the way down to the seedy criminal underbelly. Plus, aliens from all over the galaxy can be found on Coruscant, each with their own cultures and communities. I could spend years exploring Coruscant and still not see everything it has to offer. Plus, visiting the Jedi Temple would be nice (if they allow tourists that is).

What character from Star Wars would you most like to meet?
Obi-Wan Kenobi. He’s been my favorite ever since I saw the original trilogy and Phantom Menace as a kid. He was the first character in the saga that we got to see develop from his youth to his older age when he mentors the next generation of Jedi Knights in the form of Luke. I would also argue he’s the greatest Jedi of them all.

Is there anything else you’d like our readers to know about you?
Fun fact: I’ve bought the classic 1980s Goodwin/Williamson Star Wars newspaper comics five times in various formats and will likely get several more copies.

What was one of your first Star Wars related memories?
I vaguely remember watching the VHS of the classic trilogy. I didn’t understand why, but I knew that those movies marked me for life. I also remember watching the movie Spaceballs as a kid, the parody made by Mel Brooks, because here in Brazil, it used to be on TV a lot, and when I was a child, we didn’t have Netflix or YouTube, I used to watch what was available. But I really recall going with my parents to see the remastered classic trilogy in the 90s at the theater and lather with my school friends to the prequels. I remember the first trailer I ever watched on a PC was from “Episode I.” It was a thrill just downloading it and watching. It made me very anxious to go watch the movie.

What planet would you visit in the Star Wars galaxy—and why?
The planet I would love to go on the Star Wars galaxy is definitely Coruscant. It is probably the place in the whole universe where there’s more to see. I would visit the senate, the Jedi temple, and its library, and I bet there’s a lot to do on all those levels that we still don’t know. But if you ask me for a place to live, I would choose Naboo instead. Just a peaceful life in a beautiful place with nice weather and art all over the place and the Gungans to make friends with.

What character from Star Wars would you most like to meet?
This question is very interesting because, on second thought, most Star Wars characters I would like to avoid meeting, including those I like the most, such as Doctor Aphra, Han Solo, Darth Vader… But I guess if I have to choose, I would like to meet Qui-Gon Jinn. I consider him a wise Jedi. He managed not to corrupt himself and even fought with the Jedi Council for what he believed was right. And who knows, even though I’m quite old, he could teach me a trick or two with the force. And if he’s not available, I could foster baby Yoda.

Is there anything else you’d like our readers to know about you?
I collect Star Wars books, especially from the Disney canon, because if I had to buy the older ones, it would be challenging to start and costly. I have almost everything published by Del Rey, Lucasfilm Press, Marvel, IDW, DK, Studio Fun, Abrams, and some smaller publishers. If you want to talk about Star Wars, especially on a philosophical or historical level, I’m your guy.

What was one of your first Star Wars related memories?
I remember one of my best friends at school waxing lyrical about a thing called SW. He’d draw these crazy pictures where little X shapes had dotted lines streaking across the page towards H shapes, excitedly telling me about the Rebels and the evil Empire and me having no idea what he was talking about.
It sparked something in me though and I badgered my Dad for weeks about it but apparently the film wasn’t on at theatres any more.
Fast forward a short period and I found myself standing outside a now long gone cinema in the rain. Dad wouldn’t tell me what we were there to see, but as the queue reached the door we passed the poster board and I saw an image of what appeared to be a robot horse in the snow… we went in, took our seats and over the next two hours I experienced an indelible visual spectacle which would dominate my imagination for years to come.

What planet would you visit in the Star Wars galaxy—and why?
Despite being transfixed by the Battle of Hoth, I’m far from a fan of the cold – so I think my choice would be Bespin. The city in the clouds was so unlike anything I’d seen as a youngster, I dreamed of racing between those towering spires and across panoramic orange skies in the Falcon.

What character from Star Wars would you most like to meet?
Han Solo without a doubt, his cocky confidence and snappy comebacks were so inspiringly cool to me and of course you get lifetime buddy Chewie as a bonus!

Is there anything else you’d like our readers to know about you?
My love for this galaxy far, far away became the common ground that helped me build childhood friendships that have lasted to this day (and of course led me to SWNN and the Cantina!) and nothing will top the wonder of seeing the OT during those formative years. However, the fact that we’re still being presented with new content over 40 years later allowing the franchise to cross generations and inspire my own children and nephews is an amazing gift.

What was one of your first Star Wars related memories?
My first Star Wars memory was of Vader boarding the Rebel ship in ANH. I don’t know exactly when I saw it for the first time, but I was probably about 8 years old when I first really watched the movies — and then recorded them from from the TV onto some old VHS tapes one Christmas so that I could watch them over and over. Around the same time Kenner started releasing their series of figures in the 90s… I started collecting them and have been hooked ever since!

What planet would you visit in the Star Wars galaxy—and why?
It has to be Tatooine for me. That’s where it all started, right? For as plain and desolate of an environment as it can be, the place is just teeming with all sorts of life: humans, jawas, banthas, tuskens, sarlaccs, dewbacks — and who knows what you’ll find at your local Cantina!

What character from Star Wars would you most like to meet?
This is cheating and piggybacking off the last question, but I don’t care:
I’d like to join Han for a smuggling run then have a drink at the bar, spend a day with Luke back on the farm, have dinner with Leia at the finest establishment on Coruscant, and go camping with Chewie on Kashyyyk.

Is there anything else you’d like our readers to know about you?
My wife and I were married on May 4th, honeymooned at Disney during Star Wars days, and have two amazing boys named Ben and Luke (with another child on the way!). The force is strong in my family!

What was one of your first Star Wars related memories?

My first Star Wars memory is actually my first experience with Star Wars. I was eight years old, and was on a field trip with my classmates at a movie theater. I can’t remember the movie we went to see, but I remember the preview for The Empire Strikes Back. I remember Darth Vader lunging at Luke from out of the shadows during their duel in Cloud City. The ferocity of Vader’s anger. The sparks flying in the darkness. Luke barely able to avoid being struck by that lethal blade of red fire. I was in awe as my mouth hung open. That was it. I was sold. Darth (Lord) Vader became my new god, and from that moment on I became a hardcore Star Wars fan (Phanatic).

What planet would you visit in the Star Wars galaxy—and why?
The planet I would visit is Bespin, for the opportunity to visit Cloud City, where my journey as a fan began. Also, when not under Imperial occupation, the city in the clouds seems like a wonderfully magical place for a vacation.

What character from Star Wars would you most like to meet?
Wuher. I would like to meet Wuher (even though I’m pretty sure he wouldn’t want to meet me) for the chance to sit at the famous Mos Eisley cantina bar and order a blue milk. I’ve always wanted to experience the taste of blue milk.

Is there anything else you’d like our readers to know about you?
I’m a simple OT man trying to make my way in the Disney Star Wars universe.

What was one of your first Star Wars related memories?

My earliest SW memory is getting picked up after school by my best friend’s mum & get taken to our local cinema to see ROTJ (Which was a complete surprise).

What planet would you visit in the Star Wars galaxy—and why?

Kashyyyk, I always had a love of natural history so getting to experience the fauna & flora of the planet would be an amazing experience.

What character from Star Wars would you most like to meet?

Wicket W Warrick. He just seems like a really really nice guy to sit around the camp fire with.

Is there anything else you’d like our readers to know about you?

When I was at secondary school we had to do 2 weeks work experience. Most of the other students worked in an office or at their parent’s work, but I managed to get to spend 2 weeks as a keeper at London Zoo, which was absolutely brilliant. I was in one of the bird houses opposite the Gorilla enclosure. So not only got to experience how much work goes into looking after the animals but I got to spend my hour lunch break wandering around the zoo.

What was one of your first Star Wars related memories?
I was 7 years old that Monday in 1984, when NRK (the Norwegian National Broadcasting Company – modeled after the BBC) showed A New Hope as the “Monday-movie” of that week, and my life was forever changed. I remember being frightened by Darth Vader and the trash compactor scene, and I couldn’t stand watching the movie directly, it was too intense for me, so I watched the second half or so looking at the TV’s reflection in the night-darkened window behind our TV couch. Nonetheless, I was absolutely, thoroughly hooked, and from that day on, my childhood WAS Star Wars.

What planet would you visit in the Star Wars galaxy—and why?
Any big city world would be cool, like Coruscant or Nar Shaddaa (as long as one could stay safe, of course). I bet those places have some excellent cultural activities on offer! I’d love to watch some concerts and shows, and hang out at a bar with some interesting people or a good book.

What character from Star Wars would you most like to meet?
Luke Skywalker. He was my absolute idol growing up, so much so that… I think my self-image was kind of taken over by Luke. I have never recognized the dude in the mirror as me – I’m dark-haired and brown eyed, and all my life I’ve expected to see someone blond and blue eyed in the reflection – and a few years ago it finally clicked in my head. Luke is my ego or superego, totally overshadowing my own persona, so I sort of always expected Luke to look back at me. (Yeah, my mind is ruined!)

Is there anything else you’d like our readers to know about you?
I’m an aspiring writer of fantasy fiction, and a writer & developer of pen-and-paper RPGs. I also sing in a rock band named Leper Messiah (no, we’ve got nothing to do with Metallica – try again!), and I work at the University Museum in Bergen, Norway.
