Disney Parks and “Bring Home the Bounty” Campaign Announce Grand-Prize of Galactic Starcruiser Stay
Today, StarWars.com revealed that, as part of the “Bring Home the Bounty” campaign, one lucky fan will have the opportunity to win a trip on the Galactic Starcruiser, the Star Wars hotel that will open next March. In the announcement, Lucasfilm said the following:
“By entering the Star Wars Bring Home The Bounty: Galactic Starcruiser Sweepstakes, you’ll get the chance to win product bundles and other prizes while one lucky grand-prize winner will get roundtrip airfare for four guests to Orlando, Florida, for a 4-day/3-night vacation to Walt Disney World® Resort including a 2-night experience on a test voyage of the Galactic Starcruiser in February 2022.”
All the information to participate is available here. The sweepstakes will run through December 14, and the winner will be announced on January 4, 2022, during the High Republic Wave 3 launch event. In addition to the hotel experience, the winner will also have a separate meet and greet with the High Republic authors.
The Galactic Starcruiser experience is set to be one of Disney’s most immersive and interactive offerings ever. Its exorbitant prices certainly lived up to the challenge, as a stay for two goes up to $4,809, while three adults and a child are looking at $6,000 for two nights. Despite this, the hotel is fully booked from March through June 2022. The experience will also include dining with the ship’s captain or training in the ways of the Force. The First Order, which rules the Galaxy during the period which the story works with, might make occasional appearances as well.
Guests will also be dressing up as part of the hotel’s full-fledged role-playing experience, and so far, it looks like this will be the only place in which Parks guests will be able to interact and possibly purchase the first retractable lightsaber.
