Disney and VeVe Launching New Set of Collectibles and Disney Plus Subscription Giveaway
Disney has teamed with VeVe, the largest mobile-first digital collectibles platform in the world, to announce a collaboration in time for Disney Plus Day on November 12, launching a series of NFTs (non-fungible tokens) featuring some of the most beloved characters from Disney’s franchises, including Star Wars. These are digital collectibles, part of the “Golden Moments” series, and will give fans the opportunity to interact with digital golden statues. They will be available to purchase on the VeVe app soon, and will culminate with a special ultra-rare digital collectible on November 12.
In addition to these new collectibles, VeVe and Disney Plus are teaming up to give away free Disney Plus subscriptions to some of VeVe’s customers. From the press release:
“Details regarding the specific digital collectibles from each property will be announced ahead of their drop date. In addition, every customer in select markets who first purchases an NFT from the Golden Moments collection will also receive three months of Disney+ courtesy of VeVe, while those customers who first purchase the special Ultra Rare digital collectible on Disney+ Day will receive twelve months. This Disney+ offer is not redeemable by current Disney+ subscribers, cannot be shared with any other person or transferred in exchange for money or any other consideration, with or without the NFT, and is only available in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Germany, Australia, Netherlands, Spain, Mexico, and Singapore.”

Disney Plus Day will take place on November 12, celebrating the two-year anniversary of the platform’s release. The company has already announced a Boba Fett special titled Under the Helmet: The Legacy of Boba Fett.
