‘Star Wars 1313’ Director Dominic Robilliard Working on Amy Hennig’s ‘Star Wars’ Game

While Star Wars 1313 is unlikely to ever see the light of day, the game’s director, Dominic Robilliard, is set to return to the franchise to work on Amy Hennig’s future Star Wars title. Robilliard announced his return to Star Wars on LinkedIn, where he stated he’ll be joining Skydance New Media as their Game Director, helping to work on both the studio’s upcoming Star Wars and Marvel projects.

After the development of Star Wars 1313 was canceled, Dominic Robilliard took on the role of Creative Director for PlayStation. After fulfilling that position for 10 years, he announced this week that he’ll be moving to Skydance New Media, a company headed up by Uncharted writer and director, Amy Hennig as its President. Robillard’s full LinkedIn post is provided below:

Amy Hennig was also working on another canceled Star Wars game under the studio Visceral Games before the game and the studio was shut down by Electronic Arts (EA). From there Amy Hennig helped to form Skydance New Media alongside another former Visceral Games employee, Julian Beak, who also worked on Visceral Games’ canceled Star Wars game. Beak now works as the Executive Vice President and General Manager of Skydance New Media, but also has an extensive track record within the game industry, having worked on franchises like Battlefield, and Need for Speed.

It may be some time, however, before Skydance New Media’s Star Wars game is released. The company is currently working on an untitled Marvel game, centered on Captain America, Black Panther, and their compatriots during World War II. Expect to see this game released first before extensive work begins on their future Star Wars game.

There are currently many other Star Wars games still in development that have yet to be released. Recently, it was reported that the open-world Star Wars game being developed at Massive and published by Ubisoft may optimistically release early next year. It was also rumored that there is another Star Wars RTS game in development, separate from the one already announced by Respawn Entertainment.
