UPDATE! ‘Ahsoka’ Adds ‘The Expanse’ Star Wes Chatham as Captain Enoch, Thrawn’s Right-Hand Man

As The Mandalorian nears the finale for season 3, we are officially entering Ahsoka season with more information dropping on the new series post-Star Wars Celebration and the release of the first teaser trailer. In a new report by Deadline, Wes Chatham is the latest actor to join the Ahsoka cast list.

UPDATE!

Hidden away in the article’s subheading was the information that Chatham will play the character of Captain Enoch, who appears to be an entirely new character, described as Thrawn’s “right-hand man.” Chatham is widely praised for his role as Amos Burton in the science fiction saga The Expanse in addition to other notable roles from The Hunger Games and Tenet, to name a few. If Captain Enoch is anything like Amos, Chatham’s blunt comedic delivery and charismatic swagger will add a light-hearted element into what is shaping up to be an action-packed drama.

Ahsoka was created by Dave Filoni and follows Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson) as she hunts for Grand Admiral Thrawn and aims to curb a looming threat to the galaxy, while also searching for her friend and Jedi compatriot, Ezra Bridger. Joining Dawson and Chatham on the cast list are Natasha Liu Bordizzo (Sabine Wren), Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Hera Syndulla), Lars Mikkelsen (Thrawn), Ray Stevenson (Baylan Skoll), Ivanna Sakhno (Shin Hati), and Diana Lee Inosanto (Morgan Elsbeth). The first trailer premiered at Star Wars Celebration over the weekend, with an extended version being shown to audiences in the room on Saturday; it featured the first shot of Grand Admiral Thrawn in live-action.

Ahsoka will premiere on Disney Plus in August of this year.
