‘Star Wars’ Celebration Adds New Guests, Including Ming-Na Wen, Gwendoline Christie, and Joonas Suotamo

The lineup of guests for Star Wars Celebration in London keeps getting larger and larger. Following last week’s additions, which included Hayden Christensen and Katee Sackhoff, among others, six new Star Wars personalities have been announced to be taking pictures and signing autographs at the convention, as well as the price tags on each of them.

The new guests are Gwendoline Christie (Captain Phasma), Ming-Na Wen (Fennec Shand), Matthew Wood (member of the team at Skywalker Sound and voice of several characters in animation and live-action, including General Grievous; he also played Bib Fortuna on set during the mid-credits sequence of The Mandalorian season 2 finale), Joonas Suotamo (Chewbacca in the sequel trilogy and Solo: A Star Wars Story), Silas Carson (Ki-Adi-Mundi), and Aidan Cook (Two Tubes in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and Andor; he also played Boolio in The Rise of Skywalker).

Prices for autographs and photo-ops are available here, where you can also book your slot for each of their available days. Besides the six names above, guests attending Star Wars Celebration include Anthony Daniels (C-3PO), Ashley Eckstein (voice of Ahsoka in The Clone Wars and Rebels), Dee Bradley Baker (voice of all the clones in The Clone Wars, Rebels, and The Bad Batch), Giancarlo Esposito (Moff Gideon), Indira Varma (Tala Durith in Obi-Wan Kenobi), Matt Lanter (voice of Anakin Skywalker in The Clone Wars), Vivien Lyra Blair (young Leia in Obi-Wan Kenobi), Hayden Christensen (Anakin Skywalker), Dennis Lawson (Wedge Antilles), Mads Mikkelsen (Galen Erso), Katee Sackhoff (Bo-Katan Kryze), and James Arnold Taylor (voice of Obi-Wan Kenobi for the Clone Wars and Tales of the Jedi series).

The organization has also teased that more news will be coming soon, though no specific timeframe was given. With the event now taking place in London, that allows for British members of the Star Wars family to have it easier to attend — that is probably the case for Gwendoline Christie, who was not among last year’s roster. It also leaves the door wide open for people like Daisy Ridley or John Boyega — the former has been in the news a lot recently while promoting her new feature Sometimes I Think About Dying and teased that she would be glad to be back in a galaxy far, far away; the latter has publicly said he’s trying to move on, but would he reject the possibility of commuting for 30 minutes for a couple of days to meet some passionate fans?

Star Wars Celebration returns to the ExCeL Centre in London on April 7-10. Stay tuned for more news on the convention, and keep an eye out for the panel schedule being announced in the coming weeks.

However, fantasy movies are not his only cup of tea, as movies from Scorsese, Fincher, Kubrick or Hitchcock have been an obsession for him since he started to understand the language of filmmaking. He is that guy who will watch a black and white movie, just because it is in black and white.
