‘Star Wars Jedi: Survivor’ Hit With Last-Minute Delay, Will Now Launch on April 28

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, the sequel to 2019’s Jedi: Fallen Order from EA’s Respawn Entertainment, has suffered a last-minute delay and will now launch on April 28.

The official EA Star Wars account shared the surprising news on social media on Tuesday. Check out the full statement below:

While delays this close to release are not very common, the alarms shouldn’t be ringing as the game is now going through the final stages of polish and QA so it can launch in the best possible state. In fact, EA allowing the game to miss a Q1 2023 release window and letting the developers work on it some extra time before it hits shelves is encouraging news. The publisher had a knockout success last week with the critically acclaimed remake of Dead Space and is looking to wow gamers next month with Wild Hearts, a bold take on the subgenre of creature-slaying action-RPGs kickstarted and dominated by Monster Hunter. With Jedi: Survivor lined up to be another home run from Respawn, this seems like the right move.

As a direct result, this also means we’ll surely see some form of marketing for the game in the upcoming Star Wars Celebration London, which will take place from April 7 to 10. Moreover, diehard fans will get over an extra month to chew through the pages of Star Wars Jedi: Battle Scars, the novel that is going to bridge the events of Fallen Order and Survivor — it will hit stores on March 7.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will launch on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PS5.
