‘Star Wars’ Canon Video Review: “The Queen’s Trilogy” by E.K. Johnston

In the latest Star Wars breakdown over on our YouTube channel, Brian Miller looks back on “The Queen’s Trilogy” from E.K. Johnston. The trilogy shined a much-needed spotlight on Padmé, her handmaidens, and the relationships they were able to form during the political turmoil that consumed the Republic during its final years.

You can watch the video below:

Queen’s Shadow (2019) saw Padmé leave her home on Naboo to enter the game of politics as a Senator. Queen’s Peril (2020) takes the prequel route, following Padmé in her days as queen of Naboo with the second half of the book showing the events of The Phantom Menace from a different point of view. The final book of the trilogy, Queen’s Hope (2022), sees the Senator challenged in a whole new way as the Clone Wars rage around her.
