‘Skeleton Crew’ Reportedly Wraps Filming According To Posts Shared by Stunt Team

Little is known about Jon Watts’ new Star Wars Disney Plus series Skeleton Crew, but some light may have been shed on the production timeline by members of the stunt team.

A since-deleted Instagram video was posted by stunt coordinator George Cottle, celebrating the end of filming and thanking his colleagues for their hard work. The video was captioned “That’s a wrap on Skeleton Crew!” as reported by Deadline. This same sentiment was captured by stunt actor Juliana Potter on her Instagram story, allegedly stating that she “can’t wait for the world to see what’s in store.”

The spinoff series starring Jude Law is set after the events of Return of the Jedi and in the same period as The Mandalorian. Director Jon Watts has described the show’s plot as surrounding “a group of kids who are about ten years old who get lost in the Star Wars universe.”

Disney appears to have a lot of plans for this post-Episode VI era, as more and more Disney Plus content is exploring this time period. It seems as though Disney is keen to forge ahead in the Star Wars universe whilst attempting to keep fans satiated with characters and stories from eras they know and love (Obi Wan Kenobi and Andor, for example).

Whilst we don’t yet have a release date, Skeleton Crew is slated to hit our small screens in late 2023 if plans don’t change.
