‘The Acolyte’ Reportedly Casts ‘Logan’ Actress Dafne Keen

As production on The Acolyte gets underway, the upcoming Disney Plus Star Wars series has reportedly added Logan breakout Dafne Keen to its cast in an unknown role.

This news come via Jeff Sneider on this week’s The Hot Mic via Above the Line. Sneider was also first to report that Damon Lindelof was developing a Star Wars movie. In regards to Keen joining The Acolyte, Sneider didn’t have any details on her character, but believes a confirmation will happen this month. On the podcast, he said:

“Dafne Keen who played X-23 in Logan is going to be joining The Acolyte. Don’t have any official confirmation on that yet. I expect there to be in the next couple weeks maybe.”

While Keen got her breakout role alongside Hugh Jackman in Logan, she has since starred in 2020’s Ana and is the series lead in the HBO drama His Dark Materials, which will debut its third season next month.

Keen will be joining series lead Amandla Stenberg with supporting cast members Jodie Turner-Smith, Lee Jung-jae, Manny Jacinto, and Charlie Barnett. The Acolyte takes place 100 years before The Phantom Menace, at the tail end of the High Republic era. Showrunner Leslye Headland has said one of the main focuses of the series will be to explore how the dark side could infiltrate the Republic when the Jedi are supposedly at their height.

With filming starting soon, fans should expect more details about the series to start rolling out from varying outlets. Keep checking in with us, as we will keep you updated with all the latest news on the upcoming series.
