Hasbro Reveals New ‘Star Wars’ Vintage Collection and Black Series Products at Pulse Con 2022

This weekend Hasbro hosted their online Pulse Con, where they revealed what’s next for their popular Star Wars Black Series and Vintage Collection lines.

Andor was, naturally, the main focus of the reveals as Hasbro debuted multiple figures in both lines for the hit new series. Black Series fans will soon be able to add Bix Caleen, Luthen Rael, Mon Mothma, and Cassian Andor to their collections (Cassian himself being the same figure Hasbro revealed in July as part of their convention exclusive 2-Pack with B2EMO). And in the Vintage Collection, we’ll be getting both Cassian and Vel Sartha.

Away from Andor, Vintage Collection fans can also expect The Bad Batch‘s Hunter and a Modal Nodes multipack featuring all seven members of the iconic Cantina Band from A New Hope. The latter will be exclusive to Hasbro Pulse and shopDisney.

Moving back to the Black Series, Hasbro showed off the first wave of their Return of the Jedi 40th anniversary collection. As with A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back, this collection will feature a mixture of new and repacked figures on the iconic Kenner cardbacks. Kicking things off will be repacks of Princess Leia (Endor), Han Solo (Endor), Lando Calrissian (Skiff Guard), and a Biker Scout, along with an all-new Wicket figure! Honestly, Ewoks have been long overdue in the Black Series, so the 40th anniversary is the perfect time to finally bring this fan favorite into peoples’ collections.

And from The Mandalorian, Hasbro are bringing Axe Woves to shelves, completing Bo-Katan’s Mandalorian team from Chapter 11: The Heiress.

All of these figures are listed as “Spring 2023” releases, but based on previously listed release dates, Hasbro tends to be a little overcautious, so I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw some of these hitting shelves this year.

Looking ahead, there’s even more for collectors to be excited about as Hasbro ended the Star Wars Pulse Con segment with a series of “pipeline reveals” that included 15 figures, a playset, and two roleplay replicas:

  • Coming next for The Vintage Collection is an all-new Return of the Jedi Darth Vader, the Tusken warrior from The Book of Boba Fett, Howzer from The Clone Wars, an Endor Bunker Playset, and re-releases of Weequay, Wooff, Yak Face, Nikto, and Kithaba.

  • Black Series fans can look forward to an all-new Return of the Jedi Luke Skywalker (which looks like it will be a Death Star Duel version), an improved Return of the Jedi Darth Vader with removable helmet, a brand new R2-D2, and a repack of the Imperial Guard for the Return of the Jedi anniversary collection, plus Cad Bane, the Tusken chieftain, and a Pyke trooper from The Book of Boba Fett in the main line.

  • Finally, fans of Hasbro’s life-size replicas can look forward to Luke Skywalker’s lightsaber, from The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett, as well as a Phase II Clone Trooper helmet from Revenge of the Sith.
