Pre-Orders for Physical Copies of ‘Knights of the Old Republic II’ Have Started on Limited Run Games

Fans of the classic Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic RPG series received some bad news recently when it was reported that the upcoming remake of the original 2003 game had been delayed indefinitely. The series’ short-term prospects have started to look up with the news that another studio has taken over the remake’s development, but the last month has been a rough ride for KOTOR devotees nonetheless.

Thankfully, Limited Run Games is forging ahead with its physical re-releases of old Star Wars gaming hits, and has opened pre-orders for Obsidian’s beloved Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords, which was recently touched up by Aspyr. From now until 11:59 PM Eastern Time on October 2, 2022, you can place a pre-order for either a PC or Nintendo Switch copy of the acclaimed sequel.

Knights of the Old Republic II - LRG physical release

LRG is offering the game itself along with an assortment of extra collectibles in two bundles: the Premium Edition and the Master Edition. The Switch Premium Edition comes with the game, a steelbook, a reversible poster, character concept art cards, a g0-t0 enamel pin, a commemorative coin, a box, and a Certificate of Authenticity. The PC Premium Edition comes with all of the aforementioned items except for the steelbook, which is substituted by a T3-M4 USB drive that includes a pre-downloaded copy of the game. Both Premium Editions cost $89.99.

The Switch Master Edition contains everything in the Premium Edition as well as a throwback case, a strategy guide, a pazaak deck and playing mat, and more — all can be stored in a special collector’s box. The PC Master Edition has everything from the PC Premium Edition in addition to a Korriban concept art lithograph, a strategy guide, a pazaak deck and playing mat, a collector’s box, and more. Both Master Editions cost $174.99.

Knights of the Old Republic II for Nintendo Switch

On the other hand, if you want the game, but aren’t interested in any of the collectibles being offered, then you can get a physical copy of the game on the Switch for $34.99. Unfortunately for PC gamers, this option is only available for the Switch.

For more information on all the KOTOR II physical editions LRG is offering during the next six weeks, you can head on over to their website.
