Fantasy Flight Games to Release ‘Star Wars: The Deckbuilding Game’ in 2023
The world of Star Wars trading card games has been quiet for the last several years, but it looks like that’s about to change. Comicbook.com has reported that next year Fantasy Flight Games will launch Star Wars: The Deckbuilding Game, a new competitive PvP experience set in the iconic galaxy far, far away.
We don’t know much about the game yet, but it was revealed that Caleb Grace will design it. Fans of FFG’s other products may recognize him as one of the chief creatives behind Marvel Champions: The Card Game and The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game.
The reveal of the new game will likely be welcome news for many fans, especially since FFG’s previous Star Wars card game (simply titled Star Wars: The Card Game) released its last expansion in 2018. At the very least, we can expect more information from FFG about Star Wars: The Deckbuilding Game in the coming months.
