‘Star Wars: Timelines’ Visual Guide for the Entire Canon History Announced

A new visual guide from DK Publishing, Star Wars: Timelines, arrives this November. Revealed during the latest episode of This Week! In Star Wars, the book comes to us from Kristin Baver, Jason Fry, Cole Horton, Amy Richau, and Clayton Sandell. It breaks down the in-universe history of the galaxy far, far away, from the time before the High Republic to the fall of the First Order and the ultimate defeat of Emperor Palpatine by Rey and the Resistance.

This will be the ultimate canon encyclopedia, drawing from the films (including The Clone Wars movie), live-action and animated series, books, comics, video games, and any other media. Horton told StarWars.com:

“The painstaking process for researching and writing Star Wars: Timelines has been unlike any other book I’ve written. With so many stories told over the decades and through many mediums, these timelines are an ideal way to illustrate the connected, epic nature of Star Wars storytelling.”

Baver added the following:

“I first gained a real appreciation for the way events across all kinds of Star Wars storytelling intertwine when I was writing Skywalker: A Family at War in 2020, but that was just scratching the surface compared to this project. It’s a thrill to be working with such an accomplished crew of writers to take on this Summa-verminoth-sized job. And it’s opened my eyes to so many of the intricacies that make these stories come alive and give the galaxy that expansive, lived-in feel.”

For now, it is unknown if Star Wars: Timelines will be updated periodically, as the franchise continues to evolve with new content non-stop. We also don’t know which projects coming this year will be included in the guide.

Star Wars: Timelines is already available to pre-order here, and releases in November 2022.

However, fantasy movies are not his only cup of tea, as movies from Scorsese, Fincher, Kubrick or Hitchcock have been an obsession for him since he started to understand the language of filmmaking. He is that guy who will watch a black and white movie, just because it is in black and white.
