‘LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga’ Appears at IGN Fan Fest

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga had a notable presence at today’s IGN Fan Fest ahead of the game’s long-awaited arrival in April.

 

IGN revealed a behind-the-scenes look at the development of the most ambitious LEGO Star Wars title yet, which fully adapts the likes of The Phantom MenaceAttack of the ClonesRevenge of the SithA New HopeThe Empire Strikes BackReturn of the JediThe Force AwakensThe Last Jedi, and The Rise of Skywalker into a single video game for the first time. In addition, Jonathan Smith, who is the director of production at TT Games, attended the panel to discuss the game in depth.

 

The behind-the-scenes video showcased an assortment of new footage from cutscenes and gameplay across the massive story campaign, showcasing several new features for the first time. Smith went on to explain their goal was to create the ultimate LEGO Star Wars experience with a greater emphasis on action and exploration than ever before in a completely new experience built from the ground up.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga allows players to experience all three Star Wars trilogies in whatever order they choose, letting players explore over two dozen planets, hundreds of characters, 45 story missions, and so much more in one of the most comprehensive Star Wars video games to date. The game will also have additional support via downloadable content, which has so far been confirmed to consist of an abundance of character packs, and it’s possible that even more content could be headed to the game post-launch.

 

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will be released on April 5, 2022, on the Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 video game consoles, along with Microsoft Windows.
