Stunt Woman Joanna Bennett Confirmed as the Main Tusken Warrior in ‘The Book of Boba Fett’

It’s safe to say The Book of Boba Fett has already introduced several characters who have been welcomed with open arms by the Star Wars fandom and general audiences alike. Unsurprisingly, the attention this week has been put on an amazing furry cameo and a couple of big mob bosses, but this show is filled to the brim with great characters that we can’t wait to spend more time with.

Besides Ming-Na Wen’s Fennec Shand and Jennifer Beals’ Madam Garsa FwipThe Book of Boba Fett has brought more female power to the Star Wars board with the Tusken warrior who trained Boba Fett in her tribe’s ways after capturing and saving him from certain death in the sands of Tatooine. She’s quickly become a fan-favorite, although mysterious, character, and fans have been wondering for days who’s under the mask. Well, stunt double and gymnast Joanna Bennett has confirmed, via Instagram, the news (and shared the excitement) she’s the person who taught Boba how to kick ass like a proper Tusken. Check out the original post below:

Bennett is no stranger to big productions, as she’s worked in plenty of Marvel and DC films, including Captain Marvel, Avengers: Endgame, Aquaman, and Wonder Woman. Still, it’s nice to see stunt performers get the chance to do regular acting outside action sequences. In this occasion, playing the main Tusken warrior seems like a unique opportunity, as she’s constantly using hand gestures and trying to educate a regular dude who started off on the wrong foot with her tribe. Plus… her assault on the Pyke train was pretty awesome.

Let’s hope we get to see more of this mysterious but inspiring warrior in the coming weeks, as The Book of Boba Fett keeps filling the gaps between Return of the Jedi and Boba’s return in The Mandalorian.
