Brief ‘Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker’ Teaser for Monday’s Trailer Arrives
This afternoon, Lucasfilm revealed a new look at the final film of the Star Wars Skywalker Saga, in a story that will conclude the overall narrative of the Skywalker family as we know it. What that means likely won’t be completely clear until the movie comes out, but for now, we can check out this new brief look at the last big Star Wars movie that we’ll get for a few years:

The full Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker trailer will arrive on October 21 (as we corroborated earlier in a prior report), during Monday Night Football on ESPN. In a bittersweet coincidence, that date is Carrie Fisher’s birthday; with repurposed archive footage included in the film, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker will mark her last performance as Princess/General Leia. Tickets will go on sale around the same time that the big game happens, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled to reserve your seats.
