New Image of Zorii Bliss From Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker and Speculation on What She Is Holding

Entertainment Weekly has just shared a slew of images from this fall’s biggest movies. There’s not much in the way of Star Wars, but we do get a new image of Keri Russell’s mysterious character Zorii Bliss from The Rise of Skywalker.

In the image, Bliss appears to be talking with Oscar Isaac’s Poe Dameron while holding some sort of medallion, but it’s anyone’s guess as to what the significance of the item could be.

It’s worth pointing out though that C-3PO’s figure, which was revealed during the Triple Force Friday event a few weeks ago, has the option to remove the back of the droid’s head.

As you can see in the image above there is something in the head that resembles the object Bliss is carrying.

Also we know that C-3PO’s figure comes with a new tiny character named Babu Frik, who is known to reprogram droids and is said to be on the planet Kijimi, the same planet that Zorii Bliss is on.

So what if this is a chip used to reprogram C-3PO with the help of Babu Frik? It’s possible this is the reason why C-3PO had the strange red eyes in one of the shots from an earlier trailer/clip. What do you think?

As we were piecing this together we noticed Pete Fletzer of the Around the Galaxy podcast seems to be on the same path, connecting that disc to the back of our favorite protocol droid’s head.

Any new image of The Rise of Skywalker will excite us fans, but what do you think of the speculation? Is Zorii involved in some sort of potential reprogramming of C-3PO? We’ll find out in just over two months when the movie opens on December 20.

While we wait, here is an image Anthony Daniels just posted to Instagram recording his dialogue of Threepio with the red eyes!
