The mustache incongruities are breaking my suspension of disbelief. 🙁

how about the non blending of the skin tones, the obvious lighting differences in the two samples used, and THE MUSTACHE is crazy bad (as you said). The Jedi Council ones look like they put in the time to put them together. I really hope we dont see ESB clothing though.

The focus on the Han Solo anthology movie is distracting when LucasFilm should be concentrating on promoting TLJ. So far, we’ve had rumors of a “weird script”, actors who don’t agree with what has been done to their characters, an underwhelming teaser trailer, a flip-flop on the meaning of the movie’s title, and a marketing campaign that has been all wrong , if not a complete disaster.

Sorry, but I have a bad feeling about this.

      *”Weird” as in “different” script.
*ONE actor who doesn’t agree with what has been done to his character and then said he was wrong.
*A TEASER trailer that for some reason everyone expected to be a full trailer, making it impossible for themselves not to be underwhelmed.
*A very clear movie title that for some reason everyone thought had some secret meaning or something and started creating dumb theories on it.
*And a marketing campaign that has barely started and is going exactly as it did for the last two movies.

And don’t get me started on the positives…
Sorry, but I have a good feeling about this

I will take a weird/ different script over TFA any day. Yeah, I know there are fans and cool. But honestly, I support whenever creators take risks and do stuff differently. Yeah, the PT suck as movies. I am not sugarcoating that. But I respect GL’s ambition behind those films a lot more. Especially, ROTS.

TLJ, hopefully, will be what GL wanted to do but in better hands. And I am super biased, but Rian Johnson can do it. His movies, like Looper, I find aren’t the standard action blockbuster in that he likes to challenge his audience members.

And that is fine by me.

I’m going to be honest; the one reasons why I am somewhat looking forward to the Han Solo film is because Lord and Miller’s involvement. I make no attempts hiding that I do not really care much for Han Solo. He was always my least favorite of the trio. But even as someone who isn’t a fan of the character, I argue this anthology film is going to be the riskiest of them all. Because, let’s face it; that character is iconic. Harrison Ford basically branded that character for life and while I do think that Alden Ehrenreich could work, I doubt many will take to him or this concept.

But really, beyond Han Solo; LucasFilm needs to be very careful about what anthology films they highlight. The anthologies should be like Legends, where the films can explore concepts, characters and themes outside of the Saga. Give us a unique perspective. It is one of the reasons (among many) why I adore RO as a film.
Really, if anything, Obi-wan I argue is the only film that I think should happen that focuses on a side character due to his importance and McgGregor being amazing in that role.

And a Lando film; I honestly think there are better options. For instance, why not the story of Tauv Vizula or the Mandalorian Wars? Or a film that is about the history of the first Jedi and Sith? Or a film about the Wraith Squadron? There are so many choices one could go with this. And really, new stories are going to be what keep this brand going.

Because, chugging down the old Stormtroopers, Vader, Palpatine is only going to get them so far. And so far, the newest attempt is really the old stuff with a fresh coat of paint.
