Star Wars Rebels: New Zero Hour Trailer Hits Ahead of Twin Suns.

After an extended period of planning his masterstroke, Grand Admiral Thrawn finally launches a massive attack on the Phoenix Squadron base on Atollon in next week’s Season 3 Finale. A new trailer for the episode has arrived ahead of the release of tonight’s episode, Twin Suns.

I’ll reiterate that I think this episode is going to be the most visually stunning episode of Rebels to date and that it’s going to show us the side of Thrawn that we’ve all been waiting for. For right now, though, we’ve got a heck of an episode for tonight that is a must-see.

I look like the Bendu is summoning lightning (as in the weather) against the AT-ATs.

It would be great if once the Rebels flee the planet that he stays wounded (dying) and Sidious is summoned. Im sure he would be interested in the Bendus power.

Just watched Twin Suns. It was a tad disappointing. Went spoil it but if you are hoping for a lot of sabre weilding and long duel you will be disappointed

It had to end quickly, why humiliate a broken man. Maul knew it was destiny. After everything he needed to know there was hope.

Noooo it was perfect! The restraint made it so impactful. Reminded me of Kill Bill 2

I’m guessing you haven’t watched many samurai flicks then…? It’s kinda how the Japanese sword styles roll = 1 x stroke & you’re (in most cases) OUT

No. That was perfect. They handled that whole episode perfectly. I was skeptical they could pull it off. But they did. Maul’s last words were perfect. Everything about that was perfect.

Please kill off Zeb, Kanan and maybe Rex. So it will finally be impactful to the Rebels, because we can’t have had all this build-up with Thrawn for nothing. He’d better do something really big. The way they killed Maul shows me that they can do the same with any other character.

Zeb and Kanan I can almost bet will meet their end. Rex however has already been said to be in Return of the Jedi as the old man in the Endor strike team. I’m not sure if it’s 100% Canon though.

Pablo said it, but not ‘officially’; even so, I think that accords him at least ‘protected’ status…

I know that Dave Filoni has said that he WANTS Rex to be the character formerly known as “Nik Sant”, but I don’t think it’s official.

Wasn’t Rex the old, grey haired Rebel seen on Endor in RotJ?

I’m voting for killing Kanan. But there’s no way in hell they’ll do it! Kallus… maybe.

Well we know Hera and Chopper are safe, but I feel like Kallus and Rex will likely die since they are developed enough that we will be sad to see them go, but they aren’t part of the core dynamic to the point where loosing them will change things too much. Though personally I’d like to see one of the actual ghost crew bite-it to add some real stakes (Please be Zeb)

I hope they won’t make this Thrawn final moment and that he shows the rebels what hapens when imperial mashinery is combined with the most cunning tactician galaxy has ever seen.
Also I hope we see a death of at least of of the rebels(Pleaasee)
The possibilities are Kanan, Zeb or Sabine(or someone from her clan), we know chopper survives(unfortunately) and so does hera and even though it would be wonderful they won’t kill erza. My tip is that Kallus will die, executed by Death Troopers

Personally, the only ones I would want to die is Zeb and Ezra (It wont happen ; this season he has just truly annoyed me. He has no personality, it changes depending on the plot one epsidoe he is the comedian the next he is playing with the darkside. And that is coming from someone who likes Ahsoka in the Clone Wras movie).

I personally think Zeb will be the one to die. Of all the crew he brings nothing to the team (Kanan is the master, ezra the padawan, sabine is a warrior with the mandalorian plot , and hera is the pilot). Zebs story is also complete , he found his people.

If Kanan is to go out it should be against Vader. Personally I dont Vader is in the bacta tank just to heal his wounds from revenge of the sith in R1. To me it feels like Kanan and Ezra were dealing with him before R1. It would explain why neither of them are present in R1; why would you not send Jedi to help get the plans?

I think Zeb may die in this episode and he will probably be the one trying to save Kallus

What fans need to understand is that shows are given a budget for the entire season. So some episodes are low-budget so they can save money for a big episode like this. Those “filler” episodes make something like this possible.

Id rather they just not make those episodes at all and put more money to episodes that matter, but I’m sure that there’s a TV exec somewhere who’s stopping that from happening.

I think they matter b.c they add character depth.

Most of the time. I didn’t get a whole lot out of Space Whales, Iron Squadron, Singing Droid, or Pig in a Suitcase.

But lacking in character development. The only fun thing form it (in my opinion) was the part where the droid sang. Other than that, nothing made sense and the characters all acted like idiots.

            So meh.

Agreed. I’m ok with telling small-scale stories to build character, but there are a lot of episodes that really feel like filler. I always prefer 8 or 10 episode series where everything feels really tightly paced. A lot of my friends get bored with the mid-season episodes and stop watching the show. When rebels is at its best it can get as cinematic as some of the films, but its low points make it feel really uneven

Agreed. Twilight of the Apprentice rivals any Star Wars film in quality, but The Wynkahthu Job rivals the worst of the prequels in its shlockiness. Rebels needs to be more consistent.
