UPDATE! Star Wars Rebels: The Siege Of Lothal Teaser Unveiled!
A 30-second teaser for the premiere of the next double-length episode of Star Wars Rebels has arrived, promising to wrap up the story on Lothal for a while and tease for a much darker story in the coming season.
The teaser for The Siege Of Lothal, airing on June 20, can be viewed here. A word of warning is that this preview is only available in certain regions. As soon as a region-free trailer is uploaded, we will be sure to mirror it here.
Thanks to StarWarsUnderworld for the heads up.
UPDATE!
Now with a youtube video:
Grant has been a fan of Star Wars for as long as he can remember, having seen every movie on the big screen. When he’s not hard at work with his college studies, he keeps himself busy by reporting on all kinds of Star Wars news for SWNN and general movie news on the sister site, Movie News Net. He served as a frequent commentator on SWNN’s The Resistance Broadcast.
For those who are anxious to know what happens, I did a write-up on the spoilers for this episode here: http://www.starwarsnewsnet.com/2015/04/star-wars-rebels-season-premiere-plot-summary.html.
Just keep the spoilers out of the comments section unless you mark them.
I just grabbed the source video from Disney.com. Here it is with NO region restriction.

Thanks. Region restrictions are ridiculous. You may only be interested in this show if you live in the US.
authorization required = dead link
Yeah the link died sometime yesterday. It was working.
I know there is a link to it on YouTube now available but, just for satisfaction, here is the replacement for the previous bitly link.

The site has been updated with the youtube link yesterday. Read the post again.
I think you might have misunderstood me,read my post again: “I know there is a link to it on YouTube now available but, just for satisfaction…..”
But it doesn’t matter anyway, the link is dead again.
My comment was towards mecano.
Interesting.
interesting they’re introducing a-wings so early on in the timeline. In legends cannon I believe they weren’t developed until later on in the war?
And kannan fighting vader? This should be one hell of an episode! Wish I could’ve seen it at celebration! Can’t wait!
Well now they exist earlier XD plus its spelled kanan
I loved the longer trailer that had the awesome AT-TE RV… that thing was seriously awesome and so so very Star Wars.
Make a lego set! I already own an AT-TE but I’ll gladly get another with the living quarters, catwalks added!
I’m not saying anything else to avoid spoilers!
Why don’t you just customise the at-at you have, it is Lego after all
I’ve actually kind of just trimmed down to display sets. I don’t really have spare bricks anymore. Or at least enough of the elaborate and specific parts needed to pull it off.
Plus I’d never do as good as job as the real Lego engineers!
NO. You must make your OWN instructions in your MIND…
I seen the premiere at C7.
seeing Vader again the awesomeness of what happens….AMAZING!!
Let’s hope Vader kills the kid with the stupid sling shot and crap light saber and there’s less Lothal.
Ahsoka was so annoying in the Clone Wars. I was really enjoying Rebels till they brought her in. I just hope Vader slices her in half quickly. Don’t feel like watching another series about her. The new people were fun and now she’s plastered dead center of the Rebels. Anyone else feel my pain?
Not really. First off, she got less annoying when they changed her to 16. Second, in Rebels she will be a different character, as she is about 30 now. Finally, she will have more of a recurring role, so the show will not be about her.
So far it seems they’re taking a little-here little-there approach.
I doubt anyone will understand my reference:
a long time ago there was a british sit-com called “Allo’ Allo'” about the French Resistance, spanning the Gestapo side of things as well as the resistance, often with overlap. The show was offensive [especially towards the british] and treated the subject material way too lightly [it’s english TV in the ’80s].
The show actually handled the whole “WWII is not funny” hurdle rather well IMO, but that’s another topic.
THE POINT IS – from what I can tell, Star Wars Rebels is actually VERY SIMILAR.
Ahsoka is the ACTUAL Resistance member that helps out and gives missions periodically.
The Ghost crew are the comparatively less useful / not-as-committed-to-the-cause main characters.
Lt. Side-burn A**hole represents the German Army side characters.
Darth Vader more or less fills the role of the Gestapo characters.
Moreover, Allo’ Allo’ [almost] never leaves the French village in which it supposedly takes place,
Rebels [almost] never leaves the small planet Lothal.
SAME SHOW.
No.
I’m a not huge TCW fan… but out of them all, Ahsoka ended up being my favorite. I wont spoil the ending but I loved her decisions and most of her later arcs.
Bringing her over was an awesome moment to me. Her and Ventress were my top two in the series.
Spoilers for Rebels season 2! I was surprised how happy I was to seem them meeting up with Rex as well. So the characters had more of an impact than I thought!
Ahsoka is awesome.
Ewoks are awesome
Get outa the Dark Ages, kiddo. Cartoons have been cool since Pixar.
Totally disagree that Ahsoka is annoying…. She’s actually pretty amazing and I’m one of the many Star Wars fans that was delighted to see her story continue in Rebels! Also glad we’ve got other Clone Wars connections coming…. These cartoons have done a great job filling in missing pieces of SW lore. Excellent job! Keep Ahsoka alive!
I like Rebels. However. Too. Many. Lightsabers.
you are right
Too bad they didn´t call it Star Wars: Jedi Knights. Fits better 🙂
I’ve only ever seen the first 4 episodes of TCW, and in those Ahsoka was annoying,
that’s not an insult.
I was watching it thinking, “this really IS a kid’s show”, and to that end, Ahsoka was not NEARLY as KID’S SHOW-annoying as most other “kid’s show” characters are allowed to be [lookin’ at you SpongeBob]
She was annoying but that was her character and I could stand it.
Apparently things got better in later seasons and I believe it.
I saw the clip of Ahsoka leaving the Jedi Order [via youtube], and it really had me riveted, even without being up-to-speed on the exact details leading up to it.
So credit where credit’s due, Ahsoka coming back seems to really add to the show, because now, the whole dynamic has changed.
The whole reason TESB was such a good sequel to ANH was because it changed everything about it.
TESB rehashes NONE of the things people remember about ANH, it changed the stakes, changed the setting, changed the scope, and really marked the “shit just got real” point of the series.
It seems Season 2 to Rebels is taking the same ballsy approach.
If that isn’t a compliment, I don’t know what is.
I grew to like Ashoka for the most part, but now she needs to die.
Yup. She was annoying at first, but she grew on me. Nevertheless, she should die by Vader’s hand ASAP.
There sure are a lot of lightsabers in that poster considering the supposed lack of Jedi in the galaxy. 😉
