SW7N Review: Marvel’s Star Wars #3
Issue three of Marvel’s comic book series Star Wars is out. Check out our review after the jump.
Excerpt from the review:
Hats off, applause, and much respect to series writer Jason Aaron for cramming everything one would want from a Star Wars story into one issue. The fact that he is accompanied by some of the best art in a SW book yet, via John Cassady, makes this the standout issue so far. Go down to your local comic book store, buy this issue, then come back here and read my review. Go now! It’s that good.
The opening frames don’t make me feel so bad for the Rebellion after their Hoth base is crushed by the Imperial AT-AT walkers. Once you witness all the firepower Darth Vader throws at just the ONE driven by Leia and Han, you see why the Rebels should have just packed up everything in their ice base and gone without attempting a ground fight.

Looks like Disney in general is trying to see how much of a badass they can make Vader. I approve.
I’ve just reported your comment, sorry dude I was just scrolling down!!
Oops, me too… I just wanted to see how it works, nothing personal 0:)
Am I the only one who does not like the way these characters are written? Why is Vader constantly killing his own troopers? Yes he killed some of the commanding officers for their failiers and incompetence. But here he is killing Storm troopers for absolutely no reason, other than to make him seem more menacing. Which is not working for me. Also, Why is the Empire keeping Slave labor. That’s something the Huts do. Not the Empire. Dont get me started on Han and Leia.
He kills ONE trooper. The slave are used in every empire in History so it is a reference to real facts 🙂
Uhmm… Through issue 1 and 2, he used several stormtroopers as a meatshield, and snapped the neck of another so far his head got twisted backwards when he saw what Vader was like under the mask.
Vader has this thing where he enjoys killing. I mean, kids, whole Tusken villages, His wife, friends, etc.
I’m pretty sure the sanctity of TK421’s isn’t high on the list.
Cool. So this one takes place between empire and Jedi?
