Two problems with that – one, “Alderan” isn’t a part of the Star Wars canon (“Alderaan” is), and two, Jabba’s dead as a doornail.

Not 80s era Jabba. He could have made that threat years ago.

R2 better enjoy the limelight while he can. I have a feeling another droid will be getting all the attention soon.

BB-8 is Artoo’s little brother, because R2-D2 has matured a little bit, and has become jaded, now is the perfect time to give him a taste of his own medicine, and have him babysitting a smaller, cuter, more useful droid.
Not saying I agree with it, but that’s definitely what JJ, KK and Kasdan are thinking.

Being Lawson doesn’t care for the role or Star Wars. I hope there is a mention that in a noble fight he risked his life for Rogue Squadron and barrel runs into an Enemy Frigate and activates a Thermal detonator saying, “This one’s for Porkins and Dak!”

If Wedge is gone by 7 I honestly won’t be too upset about that. Although, I think he should be re-casted (Dennis won’t care neither should we) and they should create a Rogue Squadron TV show. I’d dig that. Lando being dead would tick me off as a fan. I was slightly upset that he wasn’t part of the cast for the movie.

I would not want to see Wedge re-cast because as far as I’m concerned the only good reason to include the character this time around would be to increase the sense of extensive and luxuriant internal consistency of the movies.

I never want to see Artoo go!
If they destroyed C3po and R2 captured his CPU Data (Android Soul) and in a few movies down the road 3po resurfaced, fine.
But what will the future hold if these movies are great and the fans demand R2 and 3po throughout.
What issues could become in the eyes of people knowing that Anthony Daniels is gone and someone else was portraying him?
And how will they pull that off a decade or two?
And could it be possible that R2 and 3po will go?
    I hope not.

two choices, you either want a c3po with another actor or you don’t want the character at all. the character will out live the actor. if people and the story wants c3po they will just have to use another actor, like it or not,end of.

Well hopefully New Threepio won’t be a hopelessly depressing, melancholy dude who acts like a teenager. :

I wonder if Jabba contracted slicers to slice the Lucasfilm holonet. Don’t cave to the empty threats of that nerf herder! We must take a stand against his galactic terrorism. I don’t care what’s been compromised. 🙂

    The cover is conflicting. The article leads are all over place. They state the best movies of 14 on the right and on the left the same header with The Force Awakens below it and Birdman in the same list {obviously 14 movie.}

Anyway, I don’t know what we did to deserve such an amazing movie year in 15, but I’m sure counting my blessings.

Is R2 floating? Or are his wheels on the inner side of his feet??

Also is this a photo of TFA’s R2?
