English singer-songwriter James Blunt, who is also a close friend with Carrie Fisher confirmed to the Australian Channel 10 that Carrie Fisher will be reprising her role in Star Wars: Episode 7…

The report comes from JediNews‘ Facebook page.

Darryl J Wilson from down-under reporting that on the Australian Channel 10 news show ‘The Project’ British pop musician James Blunt, who lived with Carrie Fisher for some time, confirmed that she will be reprising her role in Ep 7. Even though Blunt is a renowned jokester , it seemed legit”.

They both had a pretty funny relationship.

Fisher had a close relationship with James Blunt while he was working on his album Back to Bedlam in 2003.

“I was introduced (to Fisher) through friends in London and I said, ‘I’ve got a record deal and I’m going to Los Angeles’ and she said, ‘well where are you staying’ and I said, ‘I have nowhere’.

“She said, ‘well then you’re staying at my house’ and she put me in her guest room and put a cardboard cutout of her outside my room to protect me at night with her from the Star Wars movie, with the hair in the buns and she’d even written her date of birth on her forehead and her date of death.”

Vanity Fair’s George Wayne even asked Fisher to explain if their relationship was sexual. Fisher dismissed the suggestion:

“Absolutely not, but I did become his therapist. He was a soldier. This boy has seen awful stuff. Every time James hears fireworks or anything like that, his heart beats faster, and he gets ‘fight or flight.’ You know, he comes from a long line of soldiers dating back to the 10th century. He would tell me these horrible stories. He was a captain, a reconnaissance soldier. I became James’s therapist. So it would have been unethical to sleep with my patient.”

So you can indeed see that they are both renowned jokesters so take this with a pinch of salt…

Disney has sent trainers to her and Mark and she did thank them months ago so that should shed more light on it.

As I read the headline I became terrified that James Blunt would somehow be involved in Episode VII.

Got an update if anyone is interested. I managed to find the video online of James on ‘The Project’ from Monday. Link—
    http://tenplay.com.au/channel-ten/the-project/extra/season-5/james-blunt?autoStart=true
But it will only play from an AustralianIP. So I’ve copied down what he said to those who won’t be able to see it—

“I did live with Carrie Fisher, princess leia of star wars, and I would come home at about 1:30 in the morning, and there she was scribbling away, and I’d play her songs. I’d tell her they were all about her, and she’d critic them. She is my first critic and she’d send me to go out the next day and fix them up.”
“Is there any chance she is going to be in the new star wars? Have you got a scoop for us?”
“Yeah absolutely, as far as I know she is going to be in the new star wars.”

Then he just started chatting about what it was like living with her and talking about his music and stuff. Watching the rest of the interview, it’s obvious James is indeed quite jokey at times and generally a down to earth person. I should also say that he answered this particular question, (about if Carrie is coming back for episode 7), with no laughing or joking or anything. He was perfectly normal and genuine about his answer.
