Star Wars: Battlefront Game to be Released in Summer 2015.
During a stockholders call, EA revealed that DICE’s upcoming Star Wars: Battlefront reboot will be released in summer 2015…
EA’s CFO Blake Jorgensen said:
“We have partnered with Walt Disney and LucasFilm to develop a whole new generation of Star Wars games for the console as well as for mobile and handheld devices. The first game that we’re focused on is Battlefront. It’s a traditional game that’s done extremely well and this will most likely come out around the same time as the Star Wars movies start to come out, probably in the summer of ’15.”
The 2015 release date (together with Star Wars: Episode 7) makes you wonder if this game could feature characters that will be also in the movie.
Other Star Wars games in development are by Visceral (Dead Space, Dante’s Inferno) and BioWare (Star Wars with Knights of the Old Republic).
